Alastar S. McGrath is the co-managing partner of KWM. His practice involves business-related litigation, including employment and professional liability defense. Mr. McGrath has tried cases in federal and state courts representing corporate entities, insurance companies, government entities and high net-worth individuals in industries including insurance, construction/housing, transportation, healthcare and technology. Mr. McGrath has experience in a wide variety of complex litigation matters, ranging from the successful defense of a wage and hour class action that was upheld by the Illinois Appellate Court, to the successful defense of a public entity against a $300 million commercial disparagement claim. He is a member of the Northern District of Illinois Trial Bar and is active in providing pro-bono services. Caitlin Brown

Caitlin Brown received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology and minor degrees in both philosophy and law and society from St. Bonaventure University in Western New York in 2015. She then began her journey to the Midwest and graduated from Michigan State University College of Law in 2018. Upon graduation, Caitlin began her legal career in her favorite city, Chicago. At KWM, Caitlin focuses her litigation practice on commercial transactions, contract disputes, insurance law, and transportation law, including admiralty law and maritime law. She also handles a variety of other matters, including corporate advisory work and real estate. Prior to KWM, Caitlin worked as an associate attorney at another boutique Chicago law firm for two and a half years and managed that firm during her last year. In her free time, Caitlin volunteers with the Illinois Environmental Council's Young Professionals Board by advocating for policies that create healthy environments across Illinois.

Chris M. Saternus

Mr. Hill taught at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago from 2005-2015, where he received the only faculty appointment as a lawyer in the medical school.

Jerome Weitzel is the co-managing partner of KWM. His practice is a unique blend of both trial and transactional representation. He has extensive experience litigating cases in state and federal court in the fields of employment, real estate, construction, manufacturing, telecom, professional liability and probate. He has argued numerous appeals before the First, Fifth, Seventh and Eleventh Federal Circuits. He represents businesses large and small as well as individuals, for whom he drafts and negotiates contracts related to employment and the purchase and sale of goods and services. Jerome received the elite distinction of being named on the 2019 Top 100 Jury Verdicts in Illinois and then received the honor of being listed on the 2021 Super Lawyers list. Jerome R. Weitzel the co-managing partner of KWM. He is a trial attorney concentrating his practice in the field of commercial litigation, with a focus on construction and real estate law.
