Andrew D. Klein

Andrew D. Klein is a trial attorney with over 20-years of experience litigating environmental, construction, land use, real estate and other complex civil cases. Andy has tried hundreds of cases to verdict in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and other jurisdictions. In addition to representing clients in litigation matters, Andy provides transactional, contracting, and compliance advice to clients on all facets of environmental and construction law and on a broad range of industrial, commercial and residential projects.

Brigitta Glunk

Brigitta Glunk is an associate attorney at Land Air Water Legal Solutions LLC. A recent graduate of Villanova University School of Law, Brigitta is interested in the intersection of environmental law and public health. While at Villanova, Brigitta served as Production Editor of the Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal, held leadership positions on the executive board of the Health Law Society for three years, was the only student in her class to complete the school's Health Law Concentration, and worked as a Certified Legal Intern for the Villanova Interdisciplinary Mental and Physical Health Law Clinic. Brigitta received a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from Wesleyan University in 2012 and a master's degree in Public Health from the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health in 2014, where she focused her graduate research on the impact of social, cultural, and environmental factors on the physical and mental health status of American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Prior to pursuing a law degree, Brigitta worked in the public health nonprofit sector as a grant writer and manager of program outreach. Brigitta is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.

David W. Buzzell

David W. Buzzell is a founding member of Land Air Water Legal Solutions LLC. He concentrates his practice in the areas of regulatory counseling, permitting, public policy, and environmental remediation. David provides counseling to clients with a special emphasis on solid and hazardous waste, water and remediation matters affecting manufacturing operations and the municipal waste industry. David also has been the lead environmental attorney on a number of transactional matters, evaluating potential liabilities relating to historic and off-site contamination on behalf of buyers, sellers, and lenders and negotiating agreements that appropriately address those liabilities. Before becoming an attorney, David worked as an engineer at Woodward-Clyde Consultants (URS Consultants/AECOM) in the field of geotechnical engineering and hazardous waste management. David represents a number of trade associations and individual companies on state and federal issues affecting the solid waste industry, and is an active member of the technical subcommittee to the Pennsylvania DEP's Solid Waste Advisory Committee. He counsels clients on solid waste permitting strategies and development of all aspects of applications for landfill expansions, including harms-benefits analysis and regulatory compliance. David also represents clients in enforcement actions, ranging from post-inspection follow up to litigation. Additionally, David regularly advises clients on all aspects of day-to-day compliance, including record keeping and reporting/notification requirements, responses to agency inspections and information requests, as well as environmental audits and internal investigations. He has been involved with numerous investigations pertaining to environmental releases, as well as several investigations pertaining to alleged malfeasance in the solid waste industry, including interaction with state Attorney General's Office. David is active in numerous professional and civic organizations and is a Master in the Delaware Valley Environmental American Inn of Court (DVE AIC). His leadership to the Pennsylvania environmental bar is well known-in 1996, he organized the DVE AIC, the first Inn of Court chartered by the national foundation specializing in environmental law. For over 20 years, he remains the Executive Director of the DVE AIC, and was the first recipient of the George Miller Award in 2008, awarded for dedication to the highest principles of legal excellence, civility, professionalism and ethics. David is a past chairman of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Environmental, Minerals and Natural Resources Law Section (Environmental and Energy Law Section), where he previously served in various officer positions and as a council member. For more than a decade, he was responsible for the Environmental Section's continuing legal education activities and was one of the original organizers of the PBA/PBI Pennsylvania Environmental Law Forum, for which he served as a course planner and faculty member. David's commitment to community service and the environmental bar have been recognized by a number of organizations, including the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Environmental Section, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Boy Scouts of America. He has also served on the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's Environmental Law Committee, the DEP's Sewage Advisory Committee, and the Bar Association's House of Delegates. David earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering at Lehigh University and his law degree from Villanova School of Law. While at Villanova, David served as president of the Environmental Law Society for two years and founded V.I.E.W. - Villanova Incorporated Environmental Watch, a citation service provider to the decisions of the Pennsylvania Environmental Hearing Board. He is admitted to practice in the state courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Eli R. Brill

Eli Brill has over 25 years of experience representing and counseling clients on environmental compliance, permitting, transactions, project development, enforcement matters, public participation in rulemaking and policy development Eli has "big firm," in-house, and consulting experience, making him particularly suited to represent a wide range of complex, highly-regulated industries. Experienced in all facets of environmental law, Eli brings with him a particular substantive expertise in air quality, and a particular industry expertise in the waste management and renewable energy arenas. Eli also has experience litigating toxic tort and CERCLA matters, and has managed and developed strategies with respect to CERCLA cleanup and cost recovery issues throughout the Eastern and Midwestern United States. Before joining LAW, Eli served as both special and in-house environmental counsel to FMC Corporation, and held the position of Senior Legal Counsel and Corporate Air Director at Waste Management, Inc. (WM) for over a decade. While at FMC, Eli developed strategy for various permitting, reporting, and enforcement matters, and oversaw environmental due diligence for FMC's spin-off Livent Corporation, where he served as the sole in-house attorney. While at WM, Eli counseled operations at over 70 landfills throughout the Eastern United States, and served as WM's primary lawyer in charge of air-related issues nationally. Before WM, Eli practiced for eleven years at Dechert, LLP, where he counseled clients across a broad spectrum of industries on state and federal environmental law issues, with a focus on permitting, compliance, and enforcement. During 2018 through 2020, Eli also worked as a managing consultant for Trinity Consultants, where he assisted the waste management, cement kiln, and renewable energy and beneficial use sectors with project development and permitting strategies and negotiations. He also maintained his own law office, where he represented waste management, construction/excavation, and renewable fuel sectors as outside counsel, with a focus on air permitting, compliance, and enforcement matters. Eli graduated from Villanova University School of Law and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of numerous professional and civic groups, including the Delaware Valley Environmental American Inn of Court. He has served on Drexel University's Biosafety Committee, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry's Environmental Executive Committee, and the Business Council for Sustainable Energy. Also, Mr. Brill has served on several Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection advisory panels, including the Environmental Justice Advisory Board (2002-2019) and the Solid Waste Advisory Committee (2014-present).

John P. Judge

John P. Judge has over 34 years of experience in environmental counseling, permitting and litigation. John has represented clients in state and federal courts and before state and federal agencies in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in virtually all areas of environmental law, including hazardous waste regulation, Superfund cost recovery actions, Clean Air Act enforcement, toxic tort actions, Clean Water Act regulation and the Solid Waste Management Act. In addition to representing clients in environmental litigation matters, John provides environmental, health and safety regulatory counseling and negotiation assistance to clients in chemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and energy industries. John has been environmental counsel to several high profile brownfields redevelopment projects. John has served as counsel to an industrial park developer for the conversion of a 500-acre former steelmaking facility into a new industrial park. He has represented a merchant power company for the conversion of a 50-acre brownfield property into a 550 MW power plant and a merchant power company for the conversion of a 40-acre brownfield property into a 600 MW power plant. John served as common counsel to large groups of alleged CERCLA generators. He has defended Clean Air Act enforcement cases and Clean Water Act Citizen Suits. John is currently representing a landfill owner in a professional negligence and strict liability action against a design engineering firm and liner manufacturer that is scheduled for trial in September 2020. Since 2006, John has been recognized by Chambers and Partners as a leading environmental practitioner, in Pennsylvania. John routinely participates in environmental law seminars and panel discussions. He has organized seminars on Brownfields Redevelopment and Vapor Intrusion. A frequent contributor to the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's annual "Environmental Law Forum", John has presented topics such as HSCA/CERCLA, RCRA, Vapor Intrusion, Science Applications in Environmental Law and Wetlands Regulations. John graduated from Indiana University School of Law (J.D., 1985) and received his master's degree in Environmental Science from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs in 1986. In 1980, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany from the University of Massachusetts. Prior to attending law school, John worked in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's aquatic toxicology and wetlands regulation groups. John is admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Lisa Parker

Lisa Parker is the billing coordinator at Land Air Water Legal Solutions LLC. Lisa has been an integral member of our team since the firm's formation. Lisa focuses her time on client billing. Lisa has been a legal secretary for 40 years and was our office administrator for 10 years. Lisa is an essential part of the LAW team. Lisa is a life member of the Collegeville Fire Company where she serves as the Recording Secretary.

Melissa M. March

Melissa March is a paralegal at Land Air Water Legal Solutions LLC, and has been an indispensable member of the LAW team since the firm's formation. Melissa focuses her time on litigation support, regulatory review and updates, Right-to-Know and FOIA requests, and administrative management. Melissa has a deep expertise in managing eDiscovery, and is fluent in several eDiscovery technology platforms. Melissa also performs "hot seat" services during trial utilizing Trial Director 360 software. Melissa graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business and Legal Studies and received her Paralegal Certificate from Villanova University. Melissa spends her free time volunteering for Pottstown-Stowe Lion's Club as secretary and is a member of the West Pottsgrove Township Zoning Hearing Board. She enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends and travelling, especially touring breweries of Pennsylvania.
