Lima Airport Partners (LAP) is the concessionaire company that operates the Jorge Chavez International Airport (AIJC for its acronym in Spanish) since February 14th of 2001... Currently, LAP is formed by the Alemán Fraport AG group, with 80.01% of social capital, and the International Finance Corporation with 19.99%. The senior partner, Fraport AG, is a leading company in the global airport business with over 95 years of experience in the aviation sector and a global portfolio of subsidiaries and other investments that include the operation of 31 airports around the world. With this kind of backing, LAP is the first airport concession in Peru, and it has invested, contributed and retributed over US$3,400 million back to the Peruvian state in its first 20 years of operation.
