LIMSwiki is a collaborative wiki dedicated to the scientific community, featuring organized, documented, and up-to-date content regarding all aspects of laboratory informatics, bioinformatics, and health informatics. LIMSwiki also strives to maintain relevant knowledge about laboratory equipment as well as commercial and open-source software likely to be used in a laboratory setting. This also includes the vendors of such equipment and software... Increasingly, a LIMS also provides the ability to integrate with other third-party applications such as ELNs, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, or regulatory compliance systems (such as seed-to-sale reporting systems for cannabis testing).[14][23][24] This integration is typically achieved through the use of an application programming interface (API)[23][24][25], code which serves as an interface between different software programs and databases, and facilitates their interactions.
