Alan C. Livingston

Alan Livingston grew up in Albertville, Alabama. Mr. Livingston's family has a tradition of producing fine attorneys, who in addition to himself includes uncle Jack Livingston of Scottsboro, sister Gail L. Mills with Burr & Forman in Birmingham, and younger brother David Livingston, who practices in Gadsden. Mr. Livingston graduated from Birmingham-Southern College, and received his B. A. degree in 1970. He received his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1973, and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in the same year. He has practiced continuously with Lee, Livingston Lee, Nichols & Barron, P.C. since 1973. Mr. Livingston is presently admitted to practice in the Middle and Northern Districts of Alabama, as well as the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He has served as President of the Houston County Bar Association, as a Director of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, and is a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the Houston County Bar Association, the International Association of Defense Counsel and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel. Mr. Livingston is a former president of the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce, a former president of the National Peanut Festival, and currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Birmingham Southern College. Mr. Livingston's practice is concentrated in the areas of medical negligence defense, products liability, workers' compensation, personal injury and railroad litigation defense. Mr. Livingston was recently recognized as a Super Lawyer in the area of medical negligence defense. Alan is married to the former Susan Haygood. Susan is from Greenville, Alabama. Alan and Susan have two children, Joanna and Jonathan.

Alto V. Lee

Will Lee is the grandson of one of the firm's founding members, Alto V. Lee, Ill, and the son of senior partner William L. Lee, Ill. Mr. Lee attended the University of Alabama where he earned both his undergraduate degree, and in 1995, his law degree. Immediately following graduation, Mr. Lee joined Lee, Livingston Lee, Nichols & Barron, P.C. and continues the family's tradition of service to the legal profession and the community. As with each member of the firm, Mr. Lee actively engages in litigation. His areas of practice include civil defense litigation, personal injury, general insurance defense, workers' compensation law, product liability, premises liability and insurance litigation. He is particularly involved in the litigation of vehicular injury claims, representing multiple prominent automobile insurers. In addition to his membership in the Alabama State Bar Association and the Houston County Bar Association, Mr. Lee is actively involved in the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. Will is married to the former Cora LaDelle Copelan. Cora is from Columbus, Georgia. Will and Cora have three children, William, Cora LaDelle, and Sara Wellons.

Benjamin H. Barron

Mr. Barron is a Dothan native, and a graduate of Northview High School. He attended Auburn University, and graduated magna cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. While there, he was initiated as a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honorary society. Mr. Barron attended the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, graduating in 2008. While at Cumberland, he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta Legal fraternity, the Dean's List and was named a Scholar of Merit. Upon graduation, Mr. Barron worked as an associate at the Law firm of Carr, Allison, Pugh, Howard, Oliver & Sisson in Birmingham, Alabama. He returned to his hometown in 2011 to practice with Lee, Livingston Lee, Nichols & Barron, P.C.. In addition to engaging in general civil Litigation, Mr. Barron primarily focuses on the firm's real estate practice. His areas of practice include real estate law, wills and estates, divorce, civil defense litigation, personal injury, general insurance defense, workers' compensation law, premises liability and insurance litigation. Mr. Barron is also a registered agent of First American Title Insurance Company, and performs extensive title abstracting and closing preparation for residential and commercial transactions. Mr. Barron is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association, the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute. He is married to the former Anna Kathryn Lewis of Dothan, Alabama. Ben and Anna have a one daughter, Elle and a son, Huff.

William L. Lee, III

Bill Lee is presently the senior member of the firm, and is the son of Alto V. Lee, Ill and the grandson of W. L. Lee. Bill was born in Dothan, Alabama on July 14, 1944.

William W. Nichols

Mr. Nichols is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1986, Mr. Nichols's family relocated to Birmingham where he attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Following graduation from UAB, Mr. Nichols attended the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, graduating cum laude in 1997. Mr. Nichols's career at Cumberland was marked by the receipt of a number of academic honors, including membership on the Cumberland Law Review and in Curia Honoris. Mr. Nichols was also named a Dean's Scholar and is a member of the National Dean's List. Mr. Nichols is presently admitted to practice in all state and appellate courts in Alabama as well federal courts in the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He previously served as president of the Houston County Bar Association and as a member of the Grievance Committee. Mr. Nichols's practice is concentrated in the areas of general civil litigation, appeals, insurance coverage, employment law, workers' compensation, construction defects and medical negligence. William is married to the former Sharon Mullins. Sharon is from Birmingham, Alabama. William and Sharon have two daughters, Beatrice (4) and Jane (3).
