It's now the third generation's turn to dream. Henry Mizrahi and Bonnie Lester perpetuate Moe Lester's passion and dedication in producing great tasting products. They continue to invest in plant upgrades and state of the art equipment and technology, ensuring the strictest quality standards possible. They too initiated an expansion, bringing the plant to 160, 000 square feet. Today, Lesters is one of the largest privately-held meat companies in Canada, selling more than 250 different products... In 1931, Max opened a delicatessen on Montreal's famed and historic St. Lawrence Blvd, better known as "the Main". This was a family affair, with wife Rose and their children Moe, Joe and Helen, all helping to serve customers 7 days a week. The deli quickly became a Montreal favorite, thanks to its famous smoked meat sandwiches. As the popularity and demand for his products grew, Max Lester began selling his products to other restaurants and grocery stores. The Lesters story began to grow.....
