Dr. Efron received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University and her Master's Degree and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Duke University. She completed her clinical internship at the Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Efron has worked in academic medical centers since obtaining her doctorate and has been employed at Children's National Medical Center since 1998. At Children's National, Dr. Efron serves as the director of the Hyperactivity, Attention and Learning Problems (HALP) Clinic. She served as the Director of Training for Professional Psychology at Children's National for 19 years, recently stepping down from that position. She holds a faculty appointment at George Washington University Medical School, where she is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and Pediatrics. Dr. Efron has maintained a private practice in Bethesda since 2002.
