Aaron Lindsay

Aaron has an infectious passion for construction that enthuses other staff. In nearly 20 years in construction he has consistently delivered on a range of major projects, especially large-scale commercial builds. The holder of a Diploma in Civil Engineering, Aaron has been a key part of our Auckland operations from the very start. He is a loyal and powerful personality who strives to get a job done the right way and to treat people the right way. Aaron is a construction manager across all our Auckland projects. He managed the Wynyard East and Madden Street apartment complexes and is today leading our biggest Auckland project at 1 Queen Street.

Aaron McGuinness

Aaron, a team leader and a qualified carpenter and quantity surveyor, has led some of our major Wellington refurbishments. His ability to work well with various project teams has proved a real asset on jobs such as 30 Waring Taylor Street and Te Auaha. He has a strong grasp of the technical and financial aspects of projects that have ranged from ultra-modern Grant Thornton House and the Bowen Building MPs offices, to the restoration and restrengthening of historic Sacred Heart Basilica in Thorndon. All have benefitted from Aaron's talent for building a positive working atmosphere and delivering successful outcomes.

Adam Guile

Adam is another of the family combos in LTM; his father Chris celebrated 40 years with us in 2023. Adam joined our permanent staff in July 2013 after working with us over successive summers from 2008. He's now part of our Auckland leadership team and holds a Bachelor of Building Science, specialising in project management. He's worked on a large range of commercial projects in Wellington in both commercial and operational roles, notably One Market Lane, 44 The Terrace, Bowen Campus and the New Zealand Defence Force headquarters fitout. In 2020 Adam moved to Auckland to take up a role on the One Queen Street redevelopment.

Adam Pugh

Adam has worked on some of our biggest and most complex projects which have required excellent organisation and communication with service installers. He began in construction in 2000 and has extensive UK qualifications in electrical engineering, business and building. Adam came to New Zealand to manage and coordinate the mass of services required in the Bowen State Building. Today he is regarded as a leader within LTM and is respected for his experience, diligence and accuracy in the processes around documentation and sign off.

Adam Sadler

Adam's background in sports science and health included four years in performance analysis for the Warriors and a stint with Canterbury Rugby. Before coming to us he was in commercial and residential construction for a fire safety contractor around compliance with H&S legislation. A physical fitness fan, Adam has a bachelor's degree in applied science. He has a special interest in people's health and wellbeing and ensuring our staff have everything they need to stay safe and well-for instance, that they're well informed on issues of mental health and work-related stress. He is involved in the HSE of some of our apartment projects such as 30 Madden and he's now leading the HSE at our Catalina Bay apartment projects. Adam is detail oriented, likes getting down to the nitty gritty and is always seeking to upskill and improve processes.

Aisling Pratt

Aisling has worked on a wide range of our jobs from tendering to live projects including apartments, heritage restorations and tertiary institutions. For the past two years she has taken a major QS role on a challenging $20m heritage refurbishment. Dedicated and hard working, Aisling completed her Bachelor of Construction degree with a QS major in 2021. Her earlier tertiary studies included chemistry and language therapy, but she became interested in quantity surveying while working at Bunnings, where she spent eight years before joining LTM. Aisling is thorough, accurate and a key part of our team who can be relied on to go the extra mile.

Alex Emrys

Alex studied engineering and finance at university and holds a post-grad certificate in H&S. Previous roles include H&S and Human Resources at Te Papa, and working for us as a labourer at Te Auaha. This combination of office and site-based experience has given Alex a sound knowledge of how things work and of effective on-the-job H&S practice. Alex started in our head office working alongside our H&S Manager in an advisory role. More lately, he's been out on jobs in applied, hands-on roles. Bright and committed and from a family of occupational health specialists, Alex has a rigorous approach and a talent for diagnosing and solving problems.

Ali Al Sadah

Ali joined us on the massive Bowen campus project and, as a project administrator, enthusiastically took on various operational and commercial tasks. From there he moved to Takina, the Wellington convention and exhibition centre, where he again shone in a range of similar roles. A good-hearted family man, Ali had first arrived in New Zealand from the Middle East. After completing a BSc in Dunedin he gained a Diploma in Quantity Surveying while working with us. Ali is a friendly and hard-working team player who strives to keep people, programmes and commercials on target.

Alice Sharpe

Alice is a registered architect with 13 years' experience working in a range of contexts for renowned architectural firms in the Netherlands, the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Together with the team Alice provides design proposals and services for architectural schemes over a wide range of scales and typologies.

Ammaar Ali

Ammaar came on board as a site and services manager so not surprisingly he's shown great versatility in the different jobs he's taken on. He's been very handy when it comes to managing asbestos in various fitouts and rebuilds, and he's also strong in seismic and heritage work. Well organised with an indepth knowledge of construction processes, Ammaar has an HVAC apprenticeship and a National Diploma in QS. He can always be relied on to put plans into action and has great relationship skills.

A site manager for a construction company before coming to us, Andrew took on the same role on one of our big commercial projects on The Terrace. Showing a lot of enthusiasm and energy, he quickly progressed to project managing a major underground job under the BNZ Centre, 1 Willis Street. The old food court that runs out under the street has been gutted and the surrounding structure is being fully strengthened. Many different trades will be involved in the fitouts, which will deliver themed food outlets. Andrew is a positive and motivated individual, and a good communicator who is well-suited to this difficult and challenging project.

Attie Myburgh

Attie is our HSE officer and wellbeing representative in Palmerston North. He has a respectful HSE approach and takes care to ensure people understand why HSE expectations exist rather than arbitrarily enforcing rules. Attie's early career was in human resource management, with such firms as Bidfood Wellington and Z Energy. He has been in HSE now for more than eight years and is very committed to the safety of others and ensuring everyone gets safely home to their families. Attie's gentle, thoughtful nature and the fact he does what he says he'll do means he's well respected, and he has good support from his local management team and good buy-in from site teams.

Ben Mitchell

Originally from Nelson, Ben joined LTM after several years work in the UK where he specialised in high-end residential construction. A qualified carpenter, he has seamlessly transferred skills including attention to detail, precise planning, top organisation, diligence and highly developed technical knowledge to LTM and our commercial construction projects. Ben loves a challenge and focuses on getting projects delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality.

Ben Western

A boat builder by trade and an avid sailor since the age of five, Ben brings great energy to the company. In 2015 he left a successful boat yard where he worked on some of the world's most state-of-the-art racing yachts, including those for the America's Cup. After an apprenticeship through BCITO he's transferred his marine industry skills to construction, and has proven to be a first-class carpenter and manager. Ben's a happy positive character with a real eye for detail. Often working in tenanted or occupied building, he has a knack for building an excellent rapport with clients as he moves all around Auckland covering F+M jobs.

Ben Whaanga

Ben holds a Bachelor of Design degree and a National Certificate in Carpentry. From his early jobs as site manager he moved on to project management, notably on major refurbishments and big commercial jobs such as Pastoral House and Mayfair House on The Terrace. In 2019, Ben and Nick Morris won the NZ Building Industry's supreme award for their work on the Charles Fergusson Tower. The award citation noted that from the judges' perspective, "Ben and Nick are young guns who smashed this project out of the park." Ben is an exceptional leader and a good ‘people person', with his talent for thorough planning one of the keys to his calm and unflustered style. He is now project managing the Archives Building, one of the biggest and most complex jobs in the country.

Bill Manuel

Thirty of Bill's 40 years in construction have been with us and for him it's been a family affair. He was joined at LTM by his son Kerrin in the ‘90s and in recent years he's had the pleasure of his grandsons working for us too. Bill has worked as a carpenter, foreman and site manager, and over the last decade has held a dedicated role as a health and safety manager. Recent lead HSE roles have included the Harbour City upgrade, Cuba Dixon projects and the St Pat's College refurbishment. Bill works well with site teams and is respected for his no-nonsense approach. Bill's other key role is mentoring younger staff and he's a great contributor of time and experience to our apprenticeship programme.

Billy Louie

Billy's abilities were quickly spotted when he began labouring for us. With a degree in accounting and commercial law, he was already well qualified outside of construction. He's now in our office specialising in quantity surveying. A Hawkes Bay original, Billy's spent most of his time at LTM on a major downtown fitout. He's a quiet problem solver who is very good going about the job at hand.

Blake Honeyfield

In his time with us Blake has moved up from apprentice carpenter to project manager. He began his apprenticeship in Wellington in 2007 and was soon a foreman on the award-winning refurbishment of Government House in 2012. Blake then had a four-year stint working overseas in construction, primarily in London, before rejoining us in 2016 and relocating to Auckland. He has an impressive track record, from his early apprenticeship days to project managing some big high-end apartment complexes and developments in Auckland. According to one satisfied client, Blake "displayed outstanding skill" in management of his team, the project and budget, and managed highly stressful situations "with a very calm composure".

Bob Walker

Bob is a qualified carpenter who came to us with a solid management background and a wealth of construction industry experience. His eye for quality high-end fitouts and finishings has been of great benefit to such jobs such as the ANZ tower redevelopment and fitouts at MSD's Aurora Centre, Xero's head office, Infratil's headquarters and Forsyth Barr. As leader of the Interiors Business Unit, Bob manages a large team running concurrent fitouts and specialist projects across the company. He is a member of our senior leadership team with an exceptional ability to build a great rapport with clients and consultants.

Braeden Osborne

Braeden has a degree in geology and earth sciences from Victoria University, and his first role in the industry was with a specialist asbestos removal firm. Friendly and hardworking, Braeden is a ‘quiet achiever' who gets on with the job. He honed his quantity surveying skills on some of our big commercial jobs in downtown Wellington, including Site 9 on the waterfront. He has now moved on to become contracts manager at Te Matapihi, the Central Library, a challenging role in which he will look after all the commercial aspects of the job from forward planning and workloads to contractors and procurements. Braeden has a young family and is a quick learner and good communicator.

Brian McGuinness

Brian has had a strategic and business leadership role in LTM for almost 50 years. In the early days he had to quickly master financial, legal and negotiating skills as the small company expanded and took on ever more challenging projects. Brian's emphasis on the core traditional values in our firm's history has been mirrored by his interest and expertise in heritage projects. In the 2012 New Year honours, Brian was made a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to the building industry, an award he attributed to the quality of LTM's conservation work. When the Historic Places Trust Board was seeking a person with a sensitivity to heritage issues tempered by practical experience, Brian was invited to be a trustee. He's also been on the Friends of Futuna Charitable Trust, is chair of the Board of Proprietors at St Pat's Silverstream and a life member of the Marist St Pat's rugby club. Brian still has a strategic and advisory role at LTM and a range of heritage and charitable projects benefit from his business acumen and sound judgement.

Chris Guile

Chris has successfully managed prestigious projects across the company, from re-strengthening of the Huddart Parker Building to overseeing the finishing of the Clyde Quay Wharf apartments. He played a key role in the Aurora Centre development and TopShop fit-out.Chris is very knowledgeable on heavy construction and is now applying his expertise to assist our Auckland team. He's a natural at getting on with people and enjoys excellent relationships with clients and customers.

Chris McGuinness

Chris is a member of the Auckland leadership team. He's applied the finishing skills gained as a qualified joiner and an interior fit-out specialist to the management of complex structural projects. In Wellington Chris had key roles in the Clyde Quay Wharf project and St Mary of the Angels' re-strengthening, and he relocated to Auckland in 2015.

Chris Murray

Within 12 months of joining us in 2013 as a project manager/quantity surveyor, Chris was on a path that would see him become something of an expert in project managing big, public, and busy downtown construction jobs. Two of them, David Jones and the second stage of the massive Bowen campus scheme, have been national award winners. Chris has Diplomas in Construction Technology and Quantity Surveying and enjoys many aspects of construction, especially new builds with interesting structures. A highly organised team leader who is determined to get good results, Chris has a style that is energetic and ‘firm but fair'.

Dan McGuinness

After beginning work with LTM at an early age, Dan was soon learning the ropes as site manager on Transpower House, Chews Lane and the Odlins Building redevelopment. Today he is a director and general manager of the family firm that employs over 300 people. He has a Bachelor of Construction (QS) from Massey University, is an NZIQS fellow and an NZIOB member. Dan is also involved in the wider community including St Francis De Sales School Board Chairperson, volunteer at the Home of Compassion, a Trustee of The Star Boating Club Preservation Committee and various construction-industry related groups. Dan has led several major initiatives, such as building community partnerships with groups including the Home of Compassion, clubs and schools, and with local iwi throughout the North Island. We are also committed to social procurement and under his stewardship LTM is on track to become one of the country's first zero-carbon certified building contractors.

Daniel Jackson

Daniel emigrated from the UK bringing a strong background in structural steel fabrication and installation. His deep understanding of structural steel and erecting large structures, along with his leadership abilities and enthusiasm, have been big assets on projects such as Takina, the new Wellington convention centre, where he oversaw construction of its complex geometric shape. Dan is now managing Wellington's largest structural steel project, the Archives New Zealand building with its 3500 tonnes of structural steel. His leadership in this field is enhanced by his excellent knowledge of BIM technology and his strong credentials around planning and health and safety.

Daniel O'Connor

Daniel is our lead health, safety and environmental manager, a role which acknowledges his exceptional communication skills and HSE knowledge. Since starting with us he has helped gain our internationally recognised certification for health and safety management (ISO 45001); incorporated the HammerTech safety software; and rolled out many strong initiatives such as the ‘See It /Own It /Fix It' and ‘Make It Click ‘campaigns. Daniel's HSE leadership also extends to industry with his involvement in regional and national safety professional forums. A key strength is his ability to mentor and train his HSE officers to help them reach their full potential.
