Bill O'Neill

Born in Garden City, New York, Bill graduated from Villanova University with a BS in economics. Subsequently, he received his MBA from Hofstra University. He was destined for a career in financial markets, and commodities in particular, as his interest was developed during his formative years when his father was Senior Vice President of Continental Grain Company. Bill started with Conti Commodities in 1975 where he was a research analyst of both agricultural and industrial commodities. In 1981, he joined Rudolf Wolff, a prominent London metals firm, as Vice President of Research with an emphasis on gold as well as base metals. Rudolf Wolff was subsequently purchased by Australia's Elders Finance group where Bill was appointed Vice President and Director of Commodity Research. In 1987, Mr. O'Neill joined Merrill Lynch where he was First President/Managing Director of Commodity Research. At its height, commodities provided over $200 million in annual revenues to Merrill. He remained with ML until 2002 when the firm exited commodities and started LOGIC Advisors LLC in partnership with another former Merrill employee, Ronald Lawson. Bill has made over 500 appearances on CNBC, CNN, Bloomberg and the major networks and is frequently quoted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Business Week and Barrons. He has also served as a Director of the American Copper Council as well as a consultant to the New York Federal Reserve and the CIA. He currently lives in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey and his hobbies include British memorabilia, mystery novels and a passionate love of the New York Rangers hockey team. LOGIC founders Bill O'Neill and Ron Lawson are well-respected commodity professionals with long track records on the street. With many of Wall Street's traditional investment houses exiting the commodity markets, LOGIC has filled the research void with a uniquely unbiased and responsive consulting service.

Peter Egli

Peter was born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland and joined international commodity trader Volkart Brothers Ltd in 1978. After a couple of years at the head office, Peter was sent to several postings overseas to learn the various facets of the physical commodity trade. Between 1981 and 1988 he has worked in different capacities in the U.K., Mexico, Colombia, Japan and Pakistan, before moving permanently to the United States in 1989. As CEO of Volcot America Inc Peter was responsible for the firm's cotton trading operation in the US, Australia and South America. During this time he was also a director of several industry bodies, such as the National Cotton Council, the International Cotton Association and the American Cotton Shippers Association. Having developed a keen interest and passion for Futures and Options trading ove the years, in 2002 Peter decided to branch out into the risk management side of the business and he is currently advising Plexus Cotton Ltd., a U.K. based trading company, as their Director of Risk Management. Peter has traveled to over 50 countries during his career and is known for his common sense approach to the market, using a combination of fundamental and technical analysis in his decision making. For the last fifteen years he has been publishing his views on the cotton market and the economy in a weekly market letter, which has gained a loyal following. Peter also teaches the annual course on Futures and Options at the International Trade Seminar in Liverpool and the International Cotton Institute in Memphis. Peter has been residing in Phoenix, Arizona since 1993 and enjoys traveling, scientific reading and outdoor activities.
