Lady Marigold Southey AC

Lady Marigold Southey AC, became the patron of Lort Smith in 2002. She had previously been closely involved with the Hospital through her position as President of the Myer Foundation. Lady Southey was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 1999 for her service to the community in the support of health care, medical research and the arts, and assumed office as the 12th Lieutenant Governor of Victoria on 1 January 2001.

Samantha Baillieu

Samantha is Chair of the Yulgilbar Foundation and is a Director of a number of the Yulgilbar Group of companies. She is on a subcommittee of the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal, called ‘Tackling Tough Times Together' and is Director of the Merricks General Winestore. In 2016 Samantha Baillieu AM was awarded an Order of Australia medal in the Queen's Birthday Honors for her significant service to the community through support for charitable initiatives, from animal welfare to rural and regional renewal. Samantha has been a passionate supporter of Lort Smith for many years and was a dedicated member of the Board for 16 years. In May 2016 Samantha stood down from her role as Director, taking up the role as Lort Smith's Co-Patron alongside her aunt, Lady Marigold Southey AC.
