Alex Chazen is a partner with Lorber, Greenfield & Polito, LLP and is licensed in California and Texas. His practice is centered around construction and real estate law and he has represented all sides of these types of disputes, including developers, general contractors, trade contractors, owners, and buyers. Mr. Chazen works with his clients at all stages of a project, from site planning and the drafting of contract and project documents through actual construction, the sales process, and litigation that often arises during and after the construction phase. He also works with his clients to develop risk management strategy, business and project planning, and dispute resolution prior to the initiation of litigation.
Mr. Chazen is Chair-Elect of the OCBA Construction Section and the co-education chair of the CLM Board (Orange County Chapter). He was the winner of the 2020 CLM Professional of the Year - Young Outside Counsel. He has been published and also been featured in CLM Construction Claims and CLM Magazine, and was trusted to be the author of CLM's California Construction Claims Resources Wiki. Mr. Chazen has also been published in the ABA Construction Section's magazine, Under Construction, and is a monthly legal columnist in the Bay Window Magazine.
Mr. Chazen graduated from the University of California at Irvine and earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. While at Loyola, Mr. Chazen was an Associate Justice on the Scott Moot Court Honors Board, as well as a student attorney in the Loyola Law School Tax Appeals Assistance Program. Mr. Chazen also worked as a volunteer law clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office in Central Trials.

Courtney Winzeler is a partner at Lorber, Greenfield & Polito and works out of the Southern California office. Ms. Winzeler has extensive litigation experience of over 14 years with an emphasis on construction, insurance defense, and general liability including bodily injury and premises liability. Her construction practice focuses on defending contractors, subcontractors, developers, and suppliers in multimillion-dollar disputes involving high profile, multifaceted construction projects. This includes litigation regarding high-end single-family residences, multi-family projects (condos/apartments), tract homes, commercial and mixed-use properties. Ms. Winzeler's vast experience in insurance defense claims include bodily injury and premise liability. Ms. Winzeler believes in a tactical approach to litigation striving for early resolution of disputes. Ms. Winzeler is licensed in California and Arizona.

Dominique C. Oliver is an associate in the Albuquerque office of Lorber, Greenfield, and Polito, LLP. Dominique is originally from Oakland, California and has been living in New Mexico since 2011. Dominique has dedicated her practice to civil defense since graduating from law school. Prior to working at Lorber, Greenfield, and Polito, Dominique worked at a national top rated civil defense firm where she won several dispositive motions in state court and obtained highly favorable outcomes for clients through formal and informal alternative dispute resolution. Dominique's practice centers around defending businesses, corporations, and individuals in high exposure cases. Her practices areas include: insurance defense, construction defects, personal injury, premises liability, consumer claims, contract disputes, real estate, professional liability, dram shop claims, wrongful death litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.
Dominique graduated from the American Military University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies after earning an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies from the Community College of the Air Force in 2013. She completed 11 years of proud service for the United States Air Force before attending law school at the University of New Mexico School of Law, graduating in 2019. Upon graduation, Dominique earned a Certificate of Concentration in Indian Law and received the Mary Beth and W. Richard West, Jr. Award recognizing excellence in Indian Law. She served as Citations Editor for the UNM Tribal Law Journal, was selected for the UNM Arturo Jaramillo Summer Law Clerk Program, and achieved Honor Roll and Dean's List honors throughout law school.
Dominique is dedicated to her community. She currently serves as a board member for the New Mexico Black Lawyers Association and is a member of the Indian Law Section of the State Bar of New Mexico. Dominique is an active member of the State Bar of New Mexico's Young Lawyers Division and remains an active alumnus of UNM School of Law, mentoring students on their pathway to becoming lawyers. Dominique also gives patronage through Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Mexico, where she provides academic and professional support to high school students navigating career pathways and preparing for college.
Dominique is licensed to practice in the New Mexico State Courts, the United States District Court for New Mexico, and the Tenth Circuit District Court. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the New Mexico Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association.
Ms. Oliver's practice focuses on all aspects of litigation including discovery practice, mediation, arbitration, and trials.
Emmett Seltzer is a partner at Lorber, Greenfield & Polito and works out of the San Francisco office. Mr. Seltzer's practice centers on defense of developers and general contractors in complex civil litigation, construction defect, general liability and insurance defense matters. He has handled cases involving various types of construction including high-end custom homes, mixed used developments, commercial, and tract homes. Mr. Seltzer has personally handled two complex construction defect claims through arbitration.
Additionally, Mr. Seltzer also handles personal injury, including construction accidents, and products liability matters. In 2021 Mr. Seltzer prevailed on a motion for summary judgment on a multi-million-dollar claim involving an attack on a subcontractor employee at a construction site arguing that the general contractor did not have liability based on the "Privette" doctrine. Mr. Seltzer also handles general liability matters including premises liability and fire cases.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Seltzer was a teacher in Southern California. He lives in Alameda with his wife, daughter and son. He enjoys cycling, playing guitar, skiing, watching baseball, and cooking.
Joseph M. Winsby is an AV Preeminent rated trial attorney and a partner in the firm's Portland and Seattle offices. Mr. Winsby has extensive experience successfully representing clients in high-stakes and complex matters from the pre-suit investigation phase through jury trial and arbitration in diverse areas of the law that range from construction defect defense and medical malpractice to insurance coverage disputes. Mr. Winsby pays meticulous attention to detail without sacrificing the importance of being a common sense and big-picture lawyer.
Mr. Winsby is a Trial College Fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates' National Trial College at Harvard Law School. He graduated from the University of Miami School of Law, ranking cum laude among his classmates and receiving an honors distinction from the nationally acclaimed Litigation Skills program.
In 2021, Mr. Winsby and his wife and two young daughters made the decision to move to the Pacific Northwest to be closer to their extended family and explore the outdoors. Before joining LGP, Mr. Winsby was a partner at a mid-sized insurance defense firm in Coral Gables, Florida where he worked for thirteen years.
Ms. Greenfield holds an AV Peer Review Rating with Martindale-Hubbell. In addition to
this recognition, she has been acknowledged as a Super Lawyer for consecutive years.
She was also awarded the West Coast Casualty Jerrold S. Oliver award of Excellence for
Mr. Horowitz joined Lorber, Greenfield & Polito in 2004. He is licensed in Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado state and federal court. He has successfully defended and resolved complex construction defect cases involving commercial and residential properties, commercial disputes, and personal injury cases. He has recently taken construction defect matters to trial and arbitration in Colorado Springs and Denver. He is known among colleagues for successful motion practice and argument leading to favorable rulings on issues including exclusion of extrapolation evidence, enforcement of statutory rights to repair, dismissal of claims based on statutes of limitations and repose, and on the enforcement of his clients' indemnity rights.
Mr. Horowitz graduated from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, with a bachelor's degree in history and a certificate of emphasis in Russian and Eastern European Studies. He earned his juris doctor at Columbia Law School in New York City. He lives in Phoenix, Arizona.
