Michael Engelaar

Michael Jeffery

Michael was appointed CEO of LR&M Constructions in August 2013. Previously, Michael spent 10 years as a professional consulting engineer in Wollongong and Sydney before being appointed Executive Manager Major Projects at State Water Corporation in NSW, a NSW Government Business, delivering its $500 million capital works program between 2008 and 2013. Michael spent 5 months acting as the CEO of State Water in 2011, including the change over period between the previous Labor Government and the Current Baird Liberal Government. Michael holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) from the University of Wollongong, is a Member of Engineeers Australia (MIEAust), is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and is registered on the National Engineers Register (NER). He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Michael is a Director and the Honorary Treasurer of the Civil Contractors Federation South Australian Branch. Michael was appointed as Director in 2020.

Rob Chamberlain

Rob joined LR&M Constructions in January 1983, after completing Year 12 at Gawler & Districts College. Rob initially started in the field labouring, pipe laying and learning all facets of civil construction on various sites all over South Australia. After completing a backhoe operator's course at TAFE SA O'Halloran Hill Campus, he spent many years as a plant operator, operating various machines, including backhoes, excavators, scrapers and also other road building plant. Later, after completing the Local Government Works Supervision Course at TAFE, Rob was promoted to leading hand, prior to becoming a Site Manager. Project Estimating and also Project Management followed site based years, with Rob being made Senior Estimator and a Director in 2000. Rob was promoted in 2010 to the role of General Manager, later changing to Managing Director in 2013. He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Stephen Harmer

Stephen is an experienced Chair, Treasurer, Non-Executive Director and Advisory Board member with a demonstrated industry, government and academic network and over 5 years governance skills in the For Purpose (Not-for-profit) and Private sectors. Stephen has extensive executive management team experience covering governance, strategic direction and performance management, with qualifications from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing), Infrastructure Sustainability Assessment and Mental Heath First Aid. Stephen's other roles include interim Chair / CEO / Board Member for a SmartCrete Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) grant funding project for research on end user outcomes. Treasurer / Board Member / Chair Finance & Risk Committee Sydney Drug Education & Counselling Centre (SDECC). Board Member and Chair Fund Raising Committee BiPolar Australia.
