I joined Amwell (then American Well) in 2008 as a Flash and ActionScript developer on the Visual Design team-back when websites were built with fixed layouts, animations ran in Flash, and we uploaded files via FTP. My role was as much about design as it was about development, working with Photoshop and Illustrator to create assets and crafting interactive content for the company's single website and self‑help healthcare kiosks... As Flash faded, I adapted my skills to HTML5 and JavaScript, helping modernize American Well's web presence.
