Dr. Angus Strachan is a clinical and organizational psychologist with over 30 years of experience. He is known for his work mediating disputes with families and in the workplace. He has worked with hundreds of families facing the challenge of divorce as a mediator, custody evaluator, parenting plan coordinator, and family therapist. As a family therapist, he helps families facing challenges with depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, anxiety & schizophrenia, through psychoeducation, communication skills and problem solving. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA where he teaches and supervises family therapy with children and adolescents. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at UCLA and conducted postdoctoral research on treatment approaches with major psychopathology both at the Institute of Psychiatry in London and the Neuropsychiatric Institute at UCLA. Angus Strachan is a clinical psychologist whose work focuses on resolving problems between people. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA. He mediates disputes between family members or couples going through divorce. He performs custody evaluations and handles post-divorce disputes as a Parenting Plan Coordinator/Special Master. He performs psychotherapy and co-parent counseling with individual children, adults, couples and families. He consults to organizations and family businesses on team development, personnel selection and strategic planning. Background Angus Strachan, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist. He has worked with families, including those facing divorce for the last 30 years, providing custody evaluation, mediation, parenting plan coordination and family therapy services. He has written articles and spoken frequently in the family law community. He is also an organizational consultant. Dr. Strachan grew up in Britain and received degrees from both Cambridge and London Universities before completing his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at UCLA. He conducted research on family approaches to the treatment of major psychopathology (schizophrenia and bipolar disorder) in the U.K. and U.S., first as a postdoctoral fellow at UCLA and the Institute of Psychiatry in London and later as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology at UCLA. He is currently Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA where he teaches family therapy to child & adolescent inpatient and outpatient units. Dr. Strachan has been Director of the Family Therapy Institute of Southern California and co-founder (with Ken Cloke and others) of the Center for Dispute Resolution. He has also consulted to organizations, performing organizational analysis and conducting selection and dispute resolution programs. Dr. Strachan is also an organizational consultant, assisting leaders and their management teams in for-profit and non-profit organizations, governmental agencies and family businesses. Mary Elizabeth Lund

Dr. Mary Lund has been mediating for over 30 years, has done over 600 custody evaluations, and has been part of a collaborative divorce group for over 10 years, making her one of the most experienced psychologists specializing in divorce in Los Angeles. After receiving her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from UCLA, she conducted postdoctoral research on children and divorce at the University of Cambridge, England. She trains not only mental health professionals, but also attorneys and judicial officers about children's needs in divorce and ways of resolving conflict. Background Dr. Mary Lund has been mediating for over 25 years, has done over 600 custody evaluations, and has been part of a collaborative divorce group for over 10 years, making her one of the most experienced psychologists specializing in divorce in Los Angeles. After receiving her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from UCLA, she conducted postdoctoral research on children and divorce at the University of Cambridge, England. She has published on a variety of topics, including factors affecting children's post-divorce adjustment, custody plans for children of different ages, and parent-child relationship disruption cases. With her husband and partner, Angus Strachan, she has done research leading to the development of the SCARF, Structured Child Assessment of Relationships in Families, that assesses the family from the child's point of view She has been a faculty member at UCLA's Neuropsychiatric Institute, Pepperdine University Law School Dispute Resolution Institute, and the Southern California Family Therapy Institute. She was the supervising psychologist in family therapy and child abuse treatment at Didi Hirsch Community Mental Health Center. She has been a co-mediator and co-trainer of mediation techniques with Forest Mosten, J.D. and Ken Cloke, J.D., two nationally prominent Attorney mediators. She has co-taught with a team of judicial officers the California Administrative Office of the Courts "Family Law Orientation Course" for incoming judicial officers assigned to Family Law. She was one of three mental health experts and two judicial officers who developed for the California Administrative Office of the Courts the DVD, "Basic Child Development and Effects of Domestic Violence on Children for Juvenile and Family Court Judicial Officers." She has been active working with professional organizations serving families of divorce. She was President-Elect for 2012/2013 and President for 2014/2015 of the California Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. She has been one of two mental health liaison members of the Los Angeles County Bar Family Law Section Executive Committee. She is a member of the Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association. She regularly does presentations for many different professional organizations. She has served on several Los Angeles and California committees and work groups that have led to innovations in delivering services, such as brief custody evaluations, parenting plan coordination, and child interviews.
