MARATHON SICK KIDS FUND

The Marathon Sick Children's Fund was established by a group of caring citizens in 1989. Our mandate is to assist with travel costs to secure medical treatment for the families of sick children in Marathon and District who are experiencing financial hardship... We have provided over $545,000 in assistance to families to help in offsetting medical travel costs since our inception. We endeavour to keep our operating costs to a minimum; as we are a totally volunteer driven organization our expenses are usually kept to less than $400 annually... We want to especially thank the Marathon detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police for running their Sick Children's Golf Tournament, which has raised in excess of $153,000 over the past 30 years, for which we are extremely grateful!
