Adam S. Cheifetz

Dr. Cheifetz is Director of the Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is Director of the Harvard Medical School Gastroenterology Clerkship Elective and Assistant Director of the Advanced Fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Adam S. Cheifetz graduated magna cum laude from Brown University before earning his M.D. from Cornell University Medical College. Dr. Cheifetz completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital and his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Yale University before serving as the Present-Levinson Fellow in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Cheifetz specializes in the treatment of Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and other inflammatory bowel diseases and is a well-recognized leader in the field. In addition to his clinical work, he is involved in multiple research projects relating to IBD and has published over 225 articles and chapters on the subject. His research currently focuses on therapeutic drug monitoring and optimizing the use of biologics through the proactive use of drug concentrations and antibodies and he has published extensively in this area. Dr. Cheifetz was the first to demonstrate that proactive monitoring of infliximab and adalimumab concentrations and dosing to a therapeutic window improves outcomes when compared to standard of care. Dr. Cheifetz lectures nationally and internationally on IBD. Dr. Cheifetz is also actively involved with teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows and is proud to have trained numerous physicians who now specialize in IBD and direct centers of their own. In addition, he serves on numerous editorial boards including Journal of Crohn's and Colitis and the World Journal of Gastroenterology. He is a fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association and American College of Gastroenterology.

Anders Ingvarsson - Chairman

Anders Ingvarsson has over 20 years of experience from senior positions in international sales and marketing (Boule Diagnostics/Nordic/Medical AB, Sangtec Molecular Diagnostics AB, ExonHit Therapeutics S.A., Lifeassays). He holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and is a graduate of IHM Business School in Stockholm.

Christel Dahlberg - CFO

Christel Dahlberg joined AegirBio AB as Interim Consultant from Aspia AB in April 2023 and assumed the role as CFO. She holds an overall responsibility of AegirBio´s financial operations and oversees the development of the company´s financial organization to support strategic and financial goals in a compliant and efficient manner. Christel brings more than 20 years of experience in Finance. She has worked in managing roles both as an employee and as a consultant for more than 5 years. She holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Philosophy in economics.

Dr. Vasiliki Fragkou - COO

Dr. Vasiliki Fragkou, an accomplished IVD medical device leader, joined AegirBio AB in November 2020 to spearhead the establishment and management of our UK subsidiary. With extensive experience in the innovation, science, design, and development of in vitro diagnostic medical devices, as well as proficiency in supply chain and manufacturing, she excels in steering projects towards successful commercialization. Throughout her career, Dr. Fragkou has demonstrated a remarkable ability to lead diverse teams in ushering innovative IVD medical devices and systems from conceptualization to market readiness, fostering collaborations both internally and externally. Dr. Fragkou's academic background includes a BSc in Biology, a PGDip in Applied Genetics, and a PhD in Electrochemical Biosensors.

Fredrik Häglund

Iain Chapple

Iain Chapple is former Director of Research for the Institute of Clinical Sciences, and former Head of the Dental School (2016-2020) at Birmingham University UK. He has written 13-textbooks and 35-chapters. Iain was IADR Periodontal Research Group President (2006-7), European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) Treasurer (2007-2013); Workshop co-chair (2008-current); Scientific Advisory Committee Chair (2013-2016); Secretary General (2016-2019) and President of the British Society of Periodontology (2014-2015). He was awarded: The Royal College of Surgeons Tomes medal (2011); IADR Distinguished Scientist (2018); EFP's Eminence Award (2022) and was awarded an MBE in the 2022 Queens New Year's Honour's. He has published >250 papers and leads a regional periodontal service and national service for adults with Epidermolysis Bullosa. Iain lectures all over the world on a broad range of topics related to periodontal diseases but has a strong interest in mechanisms underpinning periodontal-systemic disease links and in immune-microbial interactions.

Marco Witteveen

Mr. Witteveen holds a bachelor's degree in International Business and a master's degree in strategic sales & marketing management.

William Vickery
