MANHATTAN CHILDRENS CENTER

MCC was founded in 2007 by Perrie and Tom Gelb, with the goal of providing high quality educational and therapeutic services to children with autism and other developmental conditions. Perrie, a licensed and clinically certified speech pathologist, was inspired to create MCC after observing firsthand the lack of quality services available for children with special needs, and especially with autism in the New York City public schools. Together with her husband Tom, an attorney, they opened MCC with four students and 15 educators and clinical staff. They developed MCC's unique transdisciplinary ABA model which includes speech, occupational therapy and social skills programming to children with autism and other developmental conditions.
