Greg King

In 2013 Greg retired after 39 years in Chartered Accountancy. Greg and wife Robyn have lived in Marlborough since 1980 and have long considered themselves "Marlburians". With retirement Greg has become more involved in community bodies having recently been appointed a trustee of the Marlborough Heritage Trust and now a trustee of Kimi Hauora Wairau Marlborough Primary Health. Greg was a founding director of Winstanley Kerridge Chartered Accountants, now WK Advisors and Accountants Ltd and remains a part time consultant to this firm. He has spent 33 of his 39 years in public practice based in Blenheim. Greg and Robyn live on their 9 ha vineyard in Grovetown which, with help from their 3 daughters they developed in 2000. With his experience in accountancy, 12 years on St Mary's Board of Trustees and involvement with various company boards of directors Greg brings a strong financial background and a clear understanding of the governance role to Marlborough Primary Health. He has also been involved in a number of community projects and organisations over the years, notably a continued long involvement in the Marlborough Hospital Equipment Trust, as a Trustee and Treasurer, which has provided him experience in the operations of Health sector.

She has been involved in the governance of several Marlborough not-for-profit organisations, helping keep the focus on strategic goals and outcomes. Kate has a young family, and has lived in the region since 2007. Her role on the PHO Board arose from an interest in helping improve health outcomes for all Marlburians.

Mark has recently retired from his accountancy practice and is keen in semi retirement to pass on his Governance experience and skills, to help the Companies and organisations he is involved with to achieve their goals by Best Practice Strategic Planning and goal setting, and by encouraging full Board participation along with good financial organisation, budgeting and review. Mark has extensive Governance experience across many sectors and knows the Marlborough community well, having just completed 3 terms as a Marlborough District Councillor during which time he chaired several of its standing committees including: Planning, Finance and Community Committee, Covid Response Group TEAM set up to assist Business and Hospitality groups through Covid Long Term Plan Committee

Ruth Hamilton

Ruth has 20 years experience in New Zealand public sector working in local government, shared service environments and consulting in the areas of operations and programme management, people and transformation and organisational alignment. She has worked extensively with governance boards and joint service entities in the delivery of complex work programmes. Ruth has extensive experience in process improvement and all aspects of operations leadership, and management of change. She has led strategy development and managed sensitive stakeholder engagements, the development of change and communications strategies, as well as the artifacts to support detailed delivery. Ruth has worked in organisations such as Crown Health Entities (Transport, Health, Specialist Education), Wellington City Council, DHB Shared Services, Department of Corrections , Ministry of Social Development , University of Otago, Primary Health Organisations and Not For Profit services.
