Welcome to Medonis Engineering, a web page created by Mark Medonis to publish details of his humanoid robot project named Maxwell. Along the way, after several requests to buy a copy of Maxwell, a kit version was developed for sale and you can find that here. If you have your own ideas about an animatronic project, I also provide information on the various components such as power supplies and servo controllers, and will gladly sell some of my stock if you are interested. Maxwell is an animatronic robot head, meant to enable experiments in human robot interaction. The robot head has RC servos, a servo controller for interface to the PC, combined with a Windows software program. This program uses the Microsoft Speech API (SAPI) to provide computer speech synthesis and real time lip sync to the robot.
