JAMES D. PETRUZZI

JAMES D. PETRUZZI received his bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering with honors from the University of Texas and his law degree from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California at Berkeley. Jim worked with Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro, a San Francisco-based national law firm and concentrated in litigation with an emphasis on intellectual property matters and antitrust. Jim also worked with Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue, an international general practice law firm in the Dallas, Texas area exclusively litigating patent, trademark and copyright matters. Jim is licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and admitted to practice in Texas, California, and Washington, D.C. Jim Petruzzi, with over 28 years of experience, has litigated patent, trademark and copyright cases courts throughout the United States and has significant courtroom and arbitration experience presenting cases before judges and juries and at the American Arbitration Association and has argued before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C. Jim has litigated in a variety of technologies including semiconductor design and fabrication, surgical devices, computer software, pharmaceutical, cellular telephone, optical character recognition, medical equipment and novelty toys. In addition to prosecuting patent and trademark applications before the PTO, Jim has also prepared and negotiated patent, trademark and copyright licenses in the electronics, medical, telecommunications, and computer software industries. ROBERT M. MASON

ROBERT M. MASON received his bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois and both a master's in business administration and a law degree, also from the University of Illinois. Bob worked with Leydig, Voit & Mayer, a Chicago-based law firm specializing in intellectual property enforcement including patent, trademark and copyright procurement, licensing and litigation. Bob also worked with Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue, an international general practice law firm. While with Jones Day, he worked in the Chicago, D.C. and Dallas offices exclusively in the intellectual property area, and aided in forming a formal intellectual property practice in Dallas, Texas. Bob is licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and admitted to practice in Illinois and Texas. Bob Mason, with over 26 years of experience, has litigated cases in California, Illinois, Missouri, New York, Texas, Virginia, Washington state and Wisconsin, and has argued before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C. Bob has litigated in a wide range of technologies including personal computer software and hardware design, semiconductor design and fabrication, telecommunications, avionics equipment, novelty and toy items, farm equipment and HVAC machinery. In addition to prosecuting patent and trademark applications before the PTO, Bob has also prepared and negotiated patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret licenses in the electronics, medical, book publishing and performing arts industries.
