Anthony Festa

Anthony Festa, ASA, is a Managing Director in the New York Office's Machinery & Equipment Practice of Marshall & Stevens Incorporated. Mr. Festa's responsibilities include overseeing the delivery of valuation services to the Firm's machinery and equipment valuation clients. Mr. Festa leads asset valuations for buy/sell consideration, financing, insurance, tax reporting, and financial reporting purposes including purchase price allocations (ASC 805), impairment testing (ASC 350 and ASC 360), and Internal Revenue Code Sections 861, 382, and 704(c). Financing engagements include valuations for leasing and other structure finance transactions and bankruptcy/reorganization including fresh-start accounting. Mr. Festa has served clients in a wide variety of industries including, but not limited to: automotive, aerospace and defense, broadcast and communications, chemicals, entertainment, financial services, food production, healthcare, hospitality, mining and milling, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, restaurants, semiconductor, telecommunications, textiles, water and other infrastructure projects. Specific to the water infrastructure industry, he has performed valuations for several Texas-based investor-owned water and wastewater plants for a transaction, a New Jersey township for a transaction, and a New Hampshire wastewater plant for financing purposes. John F. Spude is a Principal and Executive Managing Director for Marshall & Stevens. Active in the valuation profession since 1983, Mr. Spude has managed and performed thousands of analyses including the valuations for public and closely held companies, the valuation and lifting of intellectual properties and intangible assets, the quantification of economic obsolescence in tangible asset valuations, and the analysis and valuation of reporting units, debt and equity securities, and tangible and intangible assets. Mr. Geraghty joined Marshall & Stevens as a Director in 2018 and was promoted to Managing Director in 2020, then to National Practice Leader in 2023. Clients include independent project sponsors, infrastructure funds, utilities, and bulge bracket investors. Projects valued span from residential, commercial and industrial, distributed generation, community, and utility scale. Mr. Geraghty has over 40 years of professional experience in the structured finance industry. He started his career at AT&T Finance where he executed his first solar project financing, SEGS VIII, in 1989. At the time, SEGS VIII was the largest solar electric generation system constructed to date. Other successful financings included projects in steel manufacturing, recycled pulp, automotive assembly lines, natural gas, and telecommunications terrestrial and intercontinental submarine fiber optic networks. Prior to joining Marshall & Stevens, he led project development teams at Vanguard Energy Partners and Strata Solar. His hands on financing and project development experience are valuable resources to our clients. Chris Mitchell serves on our internal Fairness Opinion and Solvency Opinion committees. Mr. Mitchell has over 35 years of experience advising investors, federal regulatory agencies, and senior management on financial reporting, risk management, valuation, governance, regulation, capital markets and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Mitchell has served as a director for various firms, including Parsons Corporation, Western Asset Mortgage Capital Corporation, Grandpoint Capital, Reis, Inc., Stearn Holdings LLC, and the Special Values Opportunities Fund LLC - a registered investment fund managed by Tennebaum Capital Partners in Santa Monica. He is a retired senior partner from Deloitte, having served as the national or regional managing partner for various practices.
