Company President, John Gannon began his career in the U.S. Navy
Seabees as a pipe fitter (UT) and as a sprinkler apprentice in the
private sector. After serving his apprenticeship, he became a
journey-man sprinkler fitter, running installations with various size
crews. In 1984 he co-founded Mass. Fire Prevention with Jim McHugh, Sr.
as a small sprinkler service company. They founded the company with
the values of professional integrity, absolute service and excellent
workmanship. John has also been a fire sprinkler code instructor for
the Gould Construction Institute for over 20 years. During that time
he was awarded the "Instructor of the Year" in 2004 while maintaining
a 98% student passing rate for the journeyman's test for the
Massachusetts Department of Public Safety.
