Kim Kabernagel

Kimberly Kabernagel, DO, MBA, has served as medical director at Geisinger Marworth since 2020. Dr. Kabernagel completed her undergraduate education at Drexel University. She then studied at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia. Her primary residency in family medicine was completed at Wellspan York Hospital in York, Pa. Dr. Kabernagel then transitioned into the Geisinger Marworth Fellowship in Addiction Medicine. She holds a primary board certification in family medicine with a specialty board certification in addiction medicine. Following graduation from fellowship, Dr. Kabernagel remained with Geisinger to start and develop the system's first hospital-based Addiction Medicine Consult and Liaison service based out of Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital in Wilkes- Barre, Pa. She led this service until she transitioned into her current role. Dr. Kabernagel recently obtained an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, which has allowed her to take on more operational transformation in drug and alcohol treatment. She is an active member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and serves as an associate medical professor for the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. She plays an active role in addiction medicine education and advancement through the training of fellows, residents and medical students, as well as her engagements with various community and organizational events.

Michael Ogden is the executive director at Geisinger Marworth, recognized as the highest-rated drug and alcohol treatment center in Pennsylvania by Newsweek magazine in 2023 and ranked 5th nationally. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated an ability to lead teams and organizations in the private, nonprofit and government sectors. He strives to help people achieve their full potential. Mr. Ogden earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Saint Leo University and a master of public health degree from Drexel University. His education provides him with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of mental health and addiction, enabling him to develop innovative approaches to treatment. As a proud veteran of the United States Navy, Mr. Ogden's discipline, determination and commitment to serving others have been further honed. He is deeply committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those with substance abuse and mental health issues. Samantha Fitz-Gerald

Samantha Fitz-Gerald, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist from Scranton, Pa. She completed her bachelor's and master's degrees in clinical psychology at Marywood University. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Fitz-Gerald completed her APA-accredited internship experience at Girard Medical Center in Philadelphia, where she conducted individual and group therapy in an outpatient drug and alcohol setting and provided psychoeducation on crisis management and relapse prevention on an acute inpatient unit. Dr. Fitz-Gerald has had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatry, outpatient psychiatric clinics, private practice, residential drug and alcohol facilities and a traumatic brain injury setting providing a combination of psychotherapy and psychological testing. At Geisinger Marworth, Dr. Fitz-Gerald conducts psychological evaluations, supervision, monitoring the healthcare professionals' program and facilitating trauma and grief specialty groups.
