Aana Lauckhart

Aana is currently a senior program officer at the Medina Foundation. She has worked at the Foundation since 2012, directing all of the grantmaking in King County. She has worked in the local nonprofit sector for more than twenty years-including at Philanthropy Northwest, Kongsgaard-Goldman Foundation, and Quixote Foundation. As part of her role at Medina, Aana participates in a number of funder collaboratives, including the Neighbor to Neighbor Fund and the Immigrant and Refugee Circle. She served on the board for Building Changes and regularly volunteers in the community.

Alexia Casiano

Job Titles:
  • Grants and Operations Manager
Alexia manages the Foundation's online grant system, coordinates with grantees, and assists the Executive Director and Program Officers in the day to day operations of the Foundation. Alexia joined the Foundation in 2014 with a wide range of administrative experience in bookkeeping, logistics, and communications for small businesses and nonprofits, having been instrumental in the restructuring of office systems for organizations in California. She previously served as Exhibitions Coordinator for Curatorial Assistance Traveling Exhibitions in Pasadena, California, where she also developed and managed an internship program for creative marketing and nonprofit development. Alexia enjoys serving local communities through volunteer work and leading arts workshops for underserved youth. Alexia earned a degree in psychology from CSU Sacramento and studied fine art at Otis College of Art and Design. They are currently working towards an MFA through the California Institute of Integral Studies.

Jennifer Teunon

Job Titles:

Jennifer Teunon has been the executive director for the Medina Foundation since 2013 and has worked in the nonprofit sector for thirty years. Before becoming Medina's executive director, Jennifer was a partner at Luma Consulting, a firm that specializes in helping nonprofit and philanthropic organizations with strategy, planning, research, and program design. For eight years before Luma, she worked for the Medina Foundation as a program officer and eventually as the acting executive director. Prior to that, Jennifer worked as a foundation administrator for The Laurel Foundation. Before working for foundations, Jennifer spent two years as the managing director for Book-It Repertory Theatre and five years at Treehouse, an organization that helps children and youth in the foster care system. As Treehouse's second employee, she helped develop the first programs and eventually led the fundraising activities as a development associate. ​Jennifer has volunteered with the Washington Women's Foundation, the Northwest Children's Foundation, United Way of King County, Crisis Connections, the Pride Foundation, and Express Credit Union, King County's first low-income credit union. She is currently on the BECU Foundation Board, the MIDD Advisory Committee for King County, and the Kindering Advisory Council. She graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a degree in English.

Jessica Case

As a senior program officer, Jessica works with nonprofit organizations in the rural counties within the Foundation's funding region. Prior to joining the Foundation, Jessica worked for over four years as a Grantmaking & Community Leadership Officer at The Seattle Foundation, leading the Arts & Culture and Environmental grant programs for one of the largest community foundations in the country. Since moving to Washington in 2006, she has also worked with the Washington Women's Foundation and the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance. Jessica currently serves on the board of a local nonprofit and sits on several regional advisory committees. Jessica graduated from the Evans School of Public Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington with a Masters of Public Administration concentrating in Philanthropy. She earned her undergraduate in Public Policy Analysis at Pomona College.
