Craig Foley is a director of Foleys, a plumbing, gasfitting, drainlaying and electrical company in 13 locations around New Zealand. Foleys was founded by Craig's grandfather Albert Foley in 1934, and has been a member business of Master Plumbers for more than 85 years.

Dave joined the Master Plumbers Board as he believes it is important to give back to the industry. He also delivers Master Plumbers training courses, carries out complaint investigations as required, and sits on the Wintec employer partnership group.

Felicity Caird

Felicity Caird is an independent director on the Master Plumbers board, bringing considerable governance experience and a valuable external perspective. Felicity owns and runs her own consultancy business, working as a board and governance advisor for organisations across a range of industries. Prior to that, she spent eight years with the New Zealand Institute of Directors, most recently as General Manager of its Governance and Leadership Centre. "The Institute of Directors is similar to Master Plumbers in that it's also a membership organisation. It's all about the value add that the organisation brings to its members. It has a similar structure and way of operating through events, conferences, education, training and industry advocacy. I can offer Master Plumbers greater perspective in how other industries operate in these areas." As well as serving on the Master Plumbers Board, Felicity is a director of Masterlink, an independent member of the Racing New Zealand Board, and is the Chair of the Racing Safety Development Fund, which is a ministerial appointment. "I've been part of a broad range of board discussions about challenges and approaches to things such as risks or advocacy. I've dealt with a lot of issues with other organisations, so I bring experience and understanding about the best ways for an organisation to govern itself, which I hope will add value to the Master Plumbers Board."

Jon Lewis - President

Jon Lewis has been President of Master Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers NZ since 2018, and serves on the Board's Health and Safety, and Disciplinary Committees. Jon has over 30 years' experience of running plumbing companies. He and his wife Jan founded The Lewis Plumbing Company (NZ) Ltd in Rotorua and, after many years and ready for a change of pace, sold the business in 2021. Jon and Jan continue to operate Backflow Prevention Ltd, which has also been in operation for the past 20 years. Jon is a specialist in cross connection control and backflow prevention and regularly tutors, and consults with councils around New Zealand around water infrastructure. As well as being on the Master Plumbers Board, he has a range of roles and responsibilities in governing and influencing the plumbing industry: Standards Australia Working Group for Plumbing and Drainage Standards and Backflow Prevention Standard (2015) Standards NZ Working Group (2015) Water NZ Backflow Group-Master Plumbers' representative (2015) WSP Opus tutor (2016) Committee for Materials in Contact with Drinking Water (2021) PDG Technical Reference Group for Waihanga Ara Rau (2022) A member of Master Plumbers for more than 20 years, Jon is a staunch supporter of the organisation's industry advocacy role. He believes that by getting involved in committees and boards, tradespeople and practitioners play a critical role in bringing hands-on understanding to governance and decision making.

Sarah Jamieson

Sarah Jamieson was elected to the Master Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers New Zealand Board in 2022. Sarah and husband Aaron own and operate BOP Plumbing and Gas, servicing the Bay of Plenty. Their business is built on family values, career progression for the team, and fostering key relationships. Winning the New Zealand Master Plumber of the Year in 2021 is testament to their success. Sarah says she is passionate about mentoring apprentices to achieve the highest qualification levels. She is also keen to ensure the industry focuses on the importance of quality workmanship, professionalism and innovation. Women too often go unrecognised for their contribution to the plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying industry, according to Sarah. She is a firm advocate for women working in our industry and wants to see greater acknowledgement of the important roles they fulfil. She believes the equal partnership she and Aaron have within their business is integral to its success.
