I was born and raised in Japan. I have liked music, guitars, and making something by hand, since a young age. It seems that it was natural for me to get in guitar making, though I didn't know about fine woodworking... Following my apprenticeship, I studied guitar repair with renowned instrument repairman Frank Ford of Gryphon Stringed Instruments, where I am currently a member of the repair staff...
