MEDICINE ON SECOND - Key Persons


Dr Glen Atwal

Raised in Coffs Harbour, Dr Atwal studied medicine at the University of Queensland, graduating with Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery (MBBS) in 1996. After graduation, Dr Atwal worked as a Resident Medical Officer at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane for three years, gaining further experience in paediatrics, general medicine and cardiology, orthopaedics, anaesthetics and emergency medicine. He was awarded Fellowship of the College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2002.

Dr Roger Morris

Raised and schooled in Toowoomba, Dr Morris studied medicine at the University of Queensland and graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery (MBBS) in 1994. He was awarded Fellowship of the College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 1999. After 12 months as Medical Superintendent of Emerald Hospital in central west Queensland, Dr Morris moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1997. He commenced private practice in Buderim in 1998 and moved his medical practice to Maroochydore in 1999.

Dr. Richard Hayter

Raised in Far North Qld, Dr Hayter obtained degrees in pharmacy and then in medicine & Surgery from The University of Qld (2008). He completed internship and worked as a resident medical officer at Nambour Hospital before beginning practice as a GP in Noosa Hinterland, and was awarded Fellowship of Royal College of General Practice (FRACGP) in 2015. Dr Hayter joined Medicine on Second in 2019 and enjoys all aspects of general practice with particular interest in men's health and mental health. Dr Hayter currently works Monday, Tuesday, Friday 8.30am - 12.30pm
