Alejandro Weinstein

Alejandro Weinstein is the co-founder and Partner at OTV ventures and WM Partners, and has more than 36 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to founding OTV and WM Partners, Mr. Weinstein was the CEO of CFR Pharmaceuticals S.A. ("CFR"), where he was responsible for a series of acquisitions transforming CFR from a local Chilean pharmaceutical company into a major global pharmaceutical company with presence in 26 countries across three continents. Under Mr. Weinstein's leadership CFR completed an initial public offering and in September 2014, the Company was sold to Abbott Laboratories for approximately $2.9 billion. In addition to his role as Board Member at Medasense Biometrics Ltd., Mr. Weinstein holds director or investor roles in various ventures in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, including Olive Tree Ventures, Vanterra and Davidson & W. He is a board member of Health Hero, Atida, Medneo GmbH, Grupo Procaps and Gauzy Ltd. Mr. Weinstein received a Business and Administration degree from the Universidad Catolica de Chile and is a certified public auditor and accountant. He also a graduate of the OPM program at Harvard Business School.

Dr. Alan Levy

Dr. Levy brings to Medasense over forty years of experience in the medical device industry. He spent twenty years at Johnson & Johnson developing many successful medical products and served in numerous leadership roles.... He then established and led multiple medical device companies, including Heartstream, that developed the first small, lightweight and easy-to-use automated external defibrillator. Dr. Levy has also served as a Senior Advisor at Frazier Healthcare Ventures. He currently serves on the boards of multiple private and public healthcare companies. Dr. Levy holds a BSc in Chemistry from City College of New York and a PhD and Honorary DSc from Purdue University.

Dr. Chris Gilligan

Dr. Gilligan is the Chief, Division of Pain Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology Perioperative and Pain Medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH), and also an Assistant Professor in Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School. He was formerly the Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Pain Medicine.... Dr. Gilligan graduated with honors from Harvard University and received an MPhil from Cambridge University. He received his medical degree with honors from Yale University School of Medicine and was a resident in general surgery at Brigham & Women's Hospital. He completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at the Harvard-affiliated emergency medicine residency and fellowship training in pain medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. He received an MBA from Harvard Business School and was a senior associate at TVM Capital.

Dr. Douglas M Hansell

Douglas M. Hansell, MD, MPH is the Vice President, Head of Medical Affairs, Medication Delivery, Acute Therapies & Clinical Nutrition at Baxter International Inc. Dr Hansell has experience in large company MedDevice, healthcare startups, biotech & venture capital. Prior to Baxter, Dr. Hansell led the medical strategy that helped Cheetah Medical grow from startup to acquisition by Baxter in 4 years. Prior to Cheetah, Dr. Hansell was Chief Medical Officer for GE Healthcare and Covidien (Medtronic). Prior to industry, Dr. Hansell was CMO of an IDN in Boston. Alongside industry, he has a 30+ year academic career at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Dr. Juliana Barr

Dr. Barr, MD, FCCM, is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology Perioperative, and Pain Medicine in the Medical Center Line at Stanford, and a Staff Anesthesiologist and Intensivist at the VA Palo Alto Medical Center. She is board certified in internal medicine, anaesthesiology, and critical care medicine.... Dr. Barr was the lead author of the Society of Critical Care Medicine's (SCCM) 2013 Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Management of Pain, Agitation, and Delirium in Adult Patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Barr has published 48 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters. She is currently a national faculty member of the SCCM's ICU Liberation Campaign ABCDEF Bundle Collaborative in the U.S.

Dr. Shmuel Cabilly

Galit Zuckerman Stark - CEO, Founder

Galit Zuckerman Stark brings to Medasense over twenty years of entrepreneurship, management and engineering experience in both start-ups and large corporations. She founded Medasense upon discovering that while advanced algorithms are used frequently in many different industries such as semiconductors, communication, and many others, the discipline of medicine and specifically pain was still left behind.... Before founding Medasense she led algorithm teams at Applied Materials and worked at Nokia-Siemens and Nice Systems. Galit started her technology career at the elite Israeli Defense Forces "Haman Talpiot" program. She also served as a consultant for several start-up companies in the field of signal and image processing including BoneTone Communications which was successfully acquired by DSPG Inc in 2011. Galit holds an MSc degree in Electrical Engineering (cum laude, Engineering Faculty Excellence Program) and a BSc in Computer Engineering (cum laude, Adi Lautman special program for outstanding students TAU) from Tel Aviv University, Israel.

Henry Weinstein

Prof. Daniel Sessler

Prof. Sessler is Founder and Director of the Outcomes Research Consortium - the world's largest clinical anaesthesia research group, and is currently the Michael Cudahy Professor and Chair of the Department of Outcomes Research at Cleveland Clinic.... Prof. Sessler attended medical school at Columbia University, and subsequently completed pediatric and anaesthesia residencies at the University of California, Los Angeles. He later served as a Professor at the University of California in San Francisco and as Vice-dean for Research at the University of Louisville. Prof. Sessler is an editor for Anesthesiology and serves as a reviewer for more than 50 journals. He has published a book on therapeutic hypothermia and more than 800 full research papers including several dozen in the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet and JAMA. His papers have been cited more than 37,000 times, and 100 were accompanied by editorials. Prof. Sessler founded and directs the Outcomes Research Consortium, a group that publishes a full paper every three days. He also serves as a director of the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER). Among his awards is a Fulbright Fellowship and the American Society of Anesthesiology Excellence in Research prize.

Prof. Elon Eisenberg

Prof. Eisenberg has been a member of Medasense's scientific advisory board since its inception in 2008. Prof. Eisenberg graduated from Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, completed a residency in Neurology at Rambam Medical Center, Haifa Israel, and a Neurology-Pain Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Robert Gavshon

Mr. Gavshon migrated to Australia from South Africa in 1978 where he was a partner in one of the largest law firms in that country. In Australia, initially he acted as Group General Counsel and Director of Corporate Affairs with worldwide responsibility for a multinational corporation based in Sydney....
