Brian is a partner in Melick & Porter's Boston office. He focuses his practice on defending individual and corporate clients in complex civil litigation matters including general liability, hospitality and restaurant litigation, entertainment and sports litigation, construction litigation, and transportation litigation. He is admitted to the state and federal court of Massachusetts. Brian has jury trial experience in the District and Superior Courts of Massachusetts. Brian has also arbitrated and mediated numerous claims using private dispute resolution entities.
Brian has been named a "Rising Star" in the New England Super Lawyers Publication since 2018. Brian is an Associate Board Member for the Boston Chapter of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation, a member of the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association, and a member of the Boston Bar Association.
When away from the office, Brian enjoys playing ice hockey, skiing, and spending time with his family on Cape Cod.

Carolyn is a partner at Melick & Porter's Boston office. Carolyn joined the firm in 2014, after having worked at another Boston insurance defense firm for over five years.

Casey is an Associate in Melick & Porter's Connecticut office. Her practice focuses on defending individual and corporate clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters involving employment practices liability, premises liability, general liability, and insurance coverage issues. She has experience defending against premises liability and personal injury cases on behalf of her clients.
Doug is a graduate of Northeastern University and the University of Miami School of Law. He is admitted to practice in both Massachusetts and Florida. With over 30 years of experience, Doug has tried cases in courts across Massachusetts, and has handled appeals in both the state and federal courts.
Doug is the author of a chapter titled Damages, Interest and Attorney's Fees in Massachusetts Litigation, published by the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, and has served on the Board of Editors of the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. He has lectured on personal injury litigation for the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, the Massachusetts Bar Association, and the Worcester County Bar Association. He is the recipient of the Worcester County Bar Association's President's Award, as well as numerous awards for his work on behalf of legal services projects for the homeless. In 2019, Doug was a recipient of the Adams Pro Bono Publico Award, presented by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services. The award honors "those in the legal profession who have demonstrated outstanding and exceptional commitment to providing unpaid legal services to those in need". Doug is a member of the Worcester County Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Florida Bar, and is a Lifetime Fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation. He is also a past President of the Massachusetts Association for the Blind. Doug was also awarded the Alfred Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019 by Marquis Who's Who. Who's Who Lifetime Achievement recognizes individuals that have achieved greatness in their industry. These individuals have excelled in their field for at least 20 years.

Elizabeth is an Associate in the Boston office. She is focusing her defense practice upon general liability, property claims, and insurance coverage.
Holly Rogers has earned a reputation as a zealous and effective advocate. She practices from our Connecticut Office, which she also manages. Holly has extensive experience in complex litigation matters. She devotes the majority of her practice to representation of clients in employment and professional liability matters. Holly represents clients in both federal and state courts in Connecticut and New York, as well as before federal and state agencies. Holly has arbitrated and mediated numerous claims before the American Arbitration Association and other dispute resolution entities. She has authored articles on a variety of legal topics and has spoken on topics of interest before client groups and legal peers.
Prior to joining Melick & Porter, Holly developed a successful litigation practice while working at law firms in Connecticut and New York, including significant experience in commercial litigation. She also served as General Counsel to several corporate entities.

Jennifer is Of Counsel in the firm's Boston office. She focuses on helping employers defend claims involving discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination. She also has experience with matters involving contract disputes, insurance coverage, professional malpractice, product liability, and premises liability. Jennifer has tried numerous felony criminal and civil jury trials in Massachusetts state court. She successfully argued a case before the Supreme Judicial Court involving the retroactive application of a new criminal statute to pending cases.
Jennifer is a board member of the Massachusetts Appleseed Center for Law and Justice. She is also co-chair of the Business Development Committee of the Women's Bar Association and a member of the Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, and the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. She remains actively involved with the Supreme Judicial Court's Law Clerks' Society and was co-chair of its governing board from 2014-2016. She was also selected as a participant in the Women's Bar Association's Leadership Initiative in 2013.
Lauren graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth, where she dual majored in Political Science and Sculpture as well as completed an internship with the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office. Upon graduation, Lauren worked as a law clerk for a worker's compensation defense firm. Lauren went on the Melick & Porter team as a paralegal full-time while attending New England Law | Boston. She started as an attorney upon graduation. During her time as a paralegal, Lauren gained experience in complex liability matters in the areas of construction, dram shop, premises, automobile, and catastrophic tort.

Nick is an Associate in Melick & Porter's Boston office. His practice focuses on employment law, general liability, professional liability, and premises liability.
Peter is a partner in Melick & Porter's Boston office with nearly twenty years of legal experience. He is a graduate of Boston University, and Suffolk University Law School. Peter started his legal practice at Hale & Dorr, before joining a smaller insurance defense practice. Over the last several years he has devoted himself to working with insurance companies and their insureds in the defense of a variety of liability claims, including insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.
Peter served as the Chief Production Editor for Suffolk Transnational Law Review and was a member of the school's Jessup Moot Court team. He has also taught the introduction to legal research and writing class and appellate writing at New England Law|Boston.
