Adam leads investments in Milestone's Financial Services industry segment and is a member of the Investment Committee.
Adam Curtin is a Partner and has spent most of his career in middle market private equity. Adam joined Milestone as an Associate in 2003 from Merrill Lynch where he contributed to the completion of a variety of M&A, equity and debt transactions as an Analyst in both the Consumer Products and High Yield groups within the Investment Banking division in New York.
Education
Adam graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Finance and a Minor in Economics.
Personal
Adam stays young playing with his two kids. When he is not engaged with the newest generation of Curtins, Adam enjoys going out with his wife, being active, cheering on the Nittany Lions, and descending upon the Jersey Shore in the summer.
Brad is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and analyzing investments made by the firm.
Prior to joining Milestone, Brad worked as an M&A Analyst at Community Veterinary Partners, a private equity portfolio company where he performed analysis and due diligence on prospective targets. Previously, he worked as an analyst at Murray Devine Valuation Advisors.
Growing up right outside of Philadelphia, Brad is an avid fan of Philadelphia sports. He enjoys traveling, being active, hanging out with friends and going to the jersey shore in the summer.
Brian is a Philadelphia-area native, now residing in the western suburbs after many years of living in the city. He enjoys running and strength training, reading about Philosophy and American history, and attending stand-up comedy shows. He also enjoys exploring the city's vibrant restaurant scene and considers himself something of a home chef.

David leads investments in Milestone's Technology-enabled Solutions industry segments and is a member of the Investment Committee
Experience
David Proctor is an Operating Partner with 15 years of private equity investing experience. David joined Milestone in 2009 as a Principal after spending nine years as Senior Vice President of Acquisitions for Wind River Holdings, a private equity investment firm. While at Wind River Holdings, in addition to executing investments in franchising, business services and manufacturing as a principal during most of his tenure, David spent three years as an operating executive with Philadelphia Mixing Solutions, a Wind River Holdings portfolio company that manufactures engineered process solutions. Prior to Wind River Holdings, David was First Vice President of Investment Banking with Janney Montgomery Scott in Philadelphia, where he provided financing and M&A advisory services for a broad range of middle market companies.
Education
David has a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an M.S. in Engineering from the EMTM program at the University of Pennsylvania. He has also completed executive education programs in strategy and change management.
Personal
David grew up in Victoria, BC and graduated from high school in Vancouver with a stint in San Antonio, TX in between. David played hockey, rugby and tennis during his early years and led the squash team at the University of Pennsylvania. He won several national squash titles and was inducted into the UPenn Athletics Hall of Fame in 2014. Away from work activities, David enjoys traveling with his wife and four kids and watching each of his kids compete on lacrosse fields around the country. David is also an active board member of Kids Smiles, a non-profit provider of dental healthcare and education services in the Philadelphia area.
Emily supports various aspects of the firm's accounting, tax, and financial reporting functions.
John serves as a board member and advisor for portfolio investments in the firm's Technology-driven Manufacturing and Technology-enabled Solutions industry segments.
John Nowaczyk is an Operating Partner with 15 years of private equity investing experience. John joined Milestone in 2007 and during his tenure has played several key roles, spanning business development, deal execution, portfolio oversight, fundraising, investor relations, finance, compliance and internal operations. Prior to Milestone John had 15 years of investment banking and consulting experience focused on mergers and acquisitions and private finance, primarily serving lower middle market and emerging growth companies, most notably with the firms Kidder, Peabody & Co., PaineWebber and Legg Mason Wood Walker.

John graduated from Harvard College with a B.A in Government.
Personal
John commutes from Wilmington, Delaware and is a heavy consumer of podcasts and audiobooks. Near his office you might hear instrumental guitar and banjo music, which helps him concentrate. When he is not at the office, you can often find him running on trails near the Brandywine River or hiking in a National Park with his three boys and his wife. He also drives a pickup truck and is game for some karaoke pretty much anytime, anywhere.
John is a Partner and oversees all of the firm's functions. He is a member of the Investment Committee.
Experience
John has spent most of his career in the middle market private equity field. Prior to joining Milestone as a Partner in 2002, John was a Managing Director of Internet Capital Group where he developed and executed a strategy for building a portfolio of investments in the financial services area and later co-founded Spyglass Partners, a small startup private equity investment firm. He was also previously a Managing Director and the head of the Philadelphia office of Mellon Ventures where he focused on sourcing and executing middle market leveraged buyouts and was Vice President of Corporate Development for RAF Industries, focusing on acquiring middle market manufacturing companies. John was also both a corporate lawyer for Reed Smith Shaw & McClay in Philadelphia and an investment banker for Morgan Stanley in New York.

John holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, where he now serves as a trustee, and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.
Personal
John currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania where he is also a member of the Athletics Board of Overseers and is a member of the Policy Board for WXPN-FM.

Kim is responsible for providing administrative support to Milestone's investment professionals.
Kim joined Milestone Partners in 2011 as an Executive Administrative Assistant and provides support for senior level investment professionals and helps to plan Milestone events. Previously, she worked at Graham Partners and before switching to an administrative role, Kim was a 5 th grade teacher.
Lisa supports various aspects of the firm's operations, finance, and accounting functions.
Experience
Lisa joined Milestone Partners in May 2021 as an Administrative Assistant and provides support to the firm's Compliance, HR and Accounting functions. Prior to joining Milestone, Lisa worked as an Administrative Assistant for a local Architectural Façade company.
Personal
Lisa enjoys cheering on her son's travel baseball team, running, and taking long walks with her two dogs and husband.

- Milestone As Vice President and Controller
Mike leads the firm's Accounting and Finance functions. He performs the same roles for PeakEquity Partners.
Mike joined Milestone as Vice President and Controller in March of 2021, and in July 2021 became Chief Financial Officer. He holds the same position for PeakEquity Partners. Mike has more than 15 years of private equity experience. Prior to joining Milestone, he was CFO and CCO for Element Partners for 12 years and also served as Controller for Inverness Capital. In addition to his private equity roles, Mike held various audit, accounting, and financial positions at Saint-Gobain Corporation. While at Saint-Gobain, he completed a three-year assignment in Paris where he performed audits of subsidiaries throughout Europe, Africa, and North America. Mike started his career as a certified public accountant in the Philadelphia office of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Paul leads Milestone's software investments and oversees operating activities within Milestone's Technology-enabled Solutions investments. He is a member of the Investment Committee.
Paul Slaats is a Partner with over 30 years of technology-related operating and investing experience. Paul has served in executive, founder and director roles in technology businesses across internet and cloud-based software, e-commerce, social media, mobile applications, online marketing, and data management and analytics platforms. From 1996 through 2010, Paul was a Managing Director at Internet Capital Group ("ICG", now Actua) having joined the company as its third employee. Paul and John Shoemaker worked together at ICG and subsequently co-founded Spyglass Partners, a small startup private equity investment firm. Prior to ICG, Paul was an Associate at Safeguard Scientifics, a Mid-Atlantic based venture investment group and a founding investor in ICG. Paul's prior software industry experience includes leadership positions in business development at SAP. He previously held positions in product development, marketing and sales management with IBM.

Paul has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Personal
Paul is a midwestern native with many years spent in Chicago, where he met his wife while waiting for a bus. He loves live music and is active in many sports, including running, which is good should he ever need to keep clear of his two college football and rugby playing sons, either of whom could take him down if he ever got on their bad side. Fortunately, his high school daughter will always love him.
Scott is a Partner and oversees all of the firm's functions. He is a member of the Investment Committee.
Experience
Scott has devoted most of his career to executing and investing in middle market leveraged buyout transactions. Prior to forming Milestone in 1995, Scott was an officer of the Philadelphia National Bank, Lehman Brothers, and two private merchant banking firms, working in private equity, investment banking, and commercial banking. He serves on the Board of the REACH Foundation which promotes Pennsylvania primary and secondary school education.

Scott graduated from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce with a B.S. in Finance.
Personal
Scott is a Philadelphia native who has been married for over thirty years, and he and his wife have two grown children. Like Dad, both kids graduated from the University of Virginia, and the family are avid UVA basketball and Philadelphia Eagles football fans. Scott also enjoys following international rugby, and is an avid, albeit deteriorating, golfer.
Sujit is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and analyzing investments made by the firm.
Experience
Prior to joining Milestone, Sujit was an Investment Banking Intern at SSG Capital Advisors, where he advised middle-market companies primarily on M&A, restructuring, and debt financing transactions. Previously, he interned as a Valuation Analyst at Murray Devine Valuation Advisors.
Education
Sujit earned his B.S. in Finance from the LeBow College of Business at Drexel University
Personal
Sujit grew up right outside of Philadelphia and is a passionate fan of the Flyers and Eagles. He enjoys staying active and adventurous with skiing in the winter and hiking and kayaking in the summer.
