MEGAN GLOR - Key Persons
Attorney Jan Atwill began working with our law firm on behalf of benefit claimants in 2009. Jan previously practiced law for seven years with two Portland-based commercial law firms in a range of litigation areas. She graduated from University of Oregon Law School in 1989.
John Shaw has been an associate attorney with the firm since September 1, 2007.
John has lived in Oregon since the age of 2. He graduated from Northwestern University in 1964 and then spent 4 years in the United States Marine Corps as a jet pilot. John graduated from the University of Oregon Medical School (now OHSU) in 1974 and spent 25 years practicing medicine. He graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2005.
In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with his three sons and grandson. He also enjoys running, biking, and hiking. John is an avid fan of University of Oregon athletics.
Megan Glor has been litigating disability, medical and life insurance and benefits claims since the early 1990s. She has extensive experience assisting claimants in applying for benefits, in handling ongoing claims and in challenging claim denials, including in litigation.
She has also served as co-counsel in several class action medical benefit cases in both state and federal courts. Megan is a frequent speaker on issues of ERISA, benefit litigation, reimbursement of medical insurance carriers and mental health parity.
