MHK was founded in 1973 as a non-profit, Hawaii corporation, specifically to assist people recovering from mental illness. Since our beginning, building relationships with a handful of people in one house on Sierra Drive, MHK has grown to an organization serving a broad range of behavioral health needs, with 40 locations throughout Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and on the Island of Hawaii... As with any business, goods and services are part of our business plan. At Mental Health Kokua our services include housing, case management, homeless outreach, psychosocial rehabilitation, psychiatry, and counseling.
