The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1947 by a group of dedicated leaders in Merced who realized the enormous potential of the Hispanic business community. The Hispanic Chamber was formed so that the needs of this particular community would be well represented through the public and private sector. Today Hispanic Chamber has grown to serve Merced County and is a community-oriented organization designated as a 501 (c) (6) and is a prominent member of the business sector.
