METROBUILD - Key Persons

Keith Ding - Managing Director

Job Titles:
  • Managing Director
Keith Ding is widely recognised as one of the industry's leading property developers in the prestige residential market. Growing up in Malaysia, and having learnt from his father's astute business acumen, work ethic and passion for travel, Keith has paved his way to a similar success. He relocated to Australia as a teenager and completed High School at Cranbrook School in Sydney, and was then accepted into a Bachelor of Business and Economics at the University of San Francisco. In 1988, Keith migrated permanently to Melbourne and, soon after, established Metrobuild as a vertically integrated family business. Over the past three decades, Keith has successfully delivered a myriad of development projects ranging from large subdivisions, housing estates, townhouses, high-profile shopping centres, neighbourhood centres, right through to office towers and esteemed residential apartments in Melbourne's premium postcodes, growth corridors and major regional areas. Keith is the company's key player as he oversees every facet of the business, from scouting potential development sites to arranging financing, selecting the most suitable and qualified consultants for each project, regularly communicating with sales agents to keep abreast of market movements and trends, and personally and critically analysing finishes and fixtures to ensure every project is delivered to the highest possible standard. Keith's genuine, approachable and honest nature enables him to cultivate and maintain meaningful, long-lasting relationships with consultants, contractors and clients. He has an innate ability to negotiate fairly to generate a desired outcome for all parties. Keith prides himself on his hands-on approach and impeccable attention to detail, which means each stage of every project reflects the utmost quality, from foundations through to finishes. This trait also benefits him on the golf course where he enjoys taking detailed but calculated risks to improve his game at Huntingdale. Away from work, if Keith isn't traveling to different parts of the world to immerse himself in European and Asian architecture and culture, he is at home drinking fine wine and cooking for family and friends.
