Akinori Hara

Akinori Hara is the Vice President of Technical Services at Mitutoyo America Corporation. Prior to his current position, Akinori Hara held the position of Vice President, Measuring Instrument Sales where he managed capital product sales and oversaw regional sales operations. Mr. Hara began his career with Mitutoyo in Kawasaki, Japan in the service department and has over 30 years of experience at Mitutoyo America Corporation. After four years with Mitutoyo Japan, Mr. Hara moved to New Jersey to work at Mitutoyo America (then known as MTI Corporation) where he served as Assistant Parts Manager, Parts Manager, Office Manager, Solutions Group Manager and Manufacturing Manager for Mitutoyo Systems Integration, Dial Indicator and LA Electric Products factories. Before being named Vice President of Measuring Instrument Sales at the beginning of 2019, Mr. Hara was the National Sales Manager for capital equipment and Regional Sales Manager. Mr. Hara has a degree in Economics from Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. He enjoys golf, gardening, karaoke and spending time with his family.

Doug Adkins - EVP

Doug Adkins is Executive Vice President of Mitutoyo America Corporation. Mr. Adkins oversees the sales, marketing and technical support departments at the company. He joined Mitutoyo America Corporation in June 1996 as a sales representative. In his longstanding history with the company, Mr. Adkins has served as Regional Manager and Vice President of channel/distributed product sales. At the start of his career, Mr. Adkins served in the United States Marine Corps as an electronics communication technician. He then spent three years at E.I.L Instruments, Inc. in calibration technician and sales representative positions. Mr. Adkins is a graduate of the United States Marine Corps Communication Electronics School. He likes to golf and enjoys hockey as well as traveling with his family.

Matt Dye - President

Matt Dye is President of Mitutoyo America Corporation. Mr. Dye is responsible for the company's growth, operations and strategic initiatives that are central to meeting current and future customer demands. He is also focused on the skills development of the Mitutoyo team that supports customers and the Mitutoyo channel partners. Additionally, Mr. Dye, has responsibility for product alignment and performance serving the North American market. Mr. Dye also serves on the Board of Directors of Mitutoyo Corporation, Kawasaki, Japan. Mr. Dye joined Mitutoyo America Corporation in January 2002 as Regional Sales Manager and then was promoted in November 2012 to Vice President of measuring instrument sales and technical services for the American market. Prior to joining Mitutoyo America Corporation, Mr. Dye spent six years in the machine tool distribution industry.

Michael Creney

Michael Creney, is Vice President of Product Management at Mitutoyo America Corporation, and has worked at the company for over 30 years. Mr. Creney has extensive knowledge of systems and software, and sits on the Mitutoyo Future Products Development Committee responsible for the Pan American Region. Mr. Creney started his career as a CMM Applications Engineer and has held many positions at the company including: Vice President of Sales, Regional Sales Manager, Product Specialist, Vision Product Manager and Vice President presiding over Vision Products, Marketing, Engineering Solutions and Special Accounts. Prior to working at Mitutoyo America Corporation, Mr. Creney worked in the Quality Department for Rolls Royce Naval Marine for 10 years. Mr. Creney is a mentor at First Robotics - Team 5000. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys woodworking, stone masonry and spending time with his family.

Patrick Harkness

Patrick Harkness is Vice President of Distributed Product Sales at Mitutoyo America Corporation and has been with the company for over 20 years. He is responsible for all Mitutoyo channel partnerships covering the target industries that the company serves. Mr. Harkness started as a design engineer at the Mitutoyo Indicator factory in 1999. He has also served as a National Sales Manager, Product Manager and Product Specialist presiding over a wide variety of Mitutoyo products at the company. Mr. Harkness graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University. He enjoys golf, coaching various sporting activities, is the Athletic Director for the Lemont Indians and sharing these interests with his wife and children.

Robert Brown

Robert Brown joined Mitutoyo America Corporation in January 1996 and is the Vice President of Information Technology and CT Lab App Development. He has over 25 years of experience in metrology and manufacturing specializing in data acquisition, management and analysis application development and deployment. Mr. Brown's current responsibilities for the company include software research and development, inside sales, logistics and all business information system activities. In his tenure at Mitutoyo, he has been an instrumental part of the design and development of the Mitutoyo MeasurLinkĀ® SPC and Quality Management software. Mr. Brown also participated in the DML (Dimensional Markup Language) Standard Project Team and co-authored the QMD (Quality Measurement Data) Standard with the AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group). He currently serves as a board member of the DMSC (Dimensional Metrology Standards Consortium) responsible for QIF (Quality Information Framework). Mr. Brown also is co-author of the book "Information Modeling for Interoperable Dimensional Metrology" with members of NIST. Mr. Brown received his Bachelors of Science degree in Physics at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and an MBA from the Northern Illinois University. He enjoys music, astronomy, outdoor activities and family.

Scott Ledger

Scott Ledger is Vice President of Measuring Instrument Sales at Mitutoyo America Corporation. Mr. Ledger returned to the company in 2022 and is responsible for all Mitutoyo capital equipment sales covering the target industries that the company serves. Mr. Ledger has over 30 years of experience in the Metrology discipline, both as a user of metrology instruments and as a provider of metrology instruments. Mr. Ledger has managed metrology laboratories including an ISO 17025 accredited corporate metrology laboratory for a Fortune 200 manufacturer. He is also a member of the ASME B46.1 and ASME Y14.36 standards committees. Mr. Ledger graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University at Fort Wayne. He enjoys traveling with family and outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, and paddling.
