Arthur Weissmann and Dr. Thomas Mehrel are board-certified dermatologists who each received their medical degree from the esteemed Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany, where they also completed their Medical Doctorate research theses (the German equivalent of an MD-PhD degree) in Medical Endocrinology... Both doctors received extensive postgraduate training in Medicine, Surgery, and Dermatology while also accomplishing groundbreaking research. Their findings have been published in leading medical journals and presented nationally and internationally... Dr. Mehrel was awarded the Fogarty fellowship at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD. He specialized in molecular biology and genetics of skin cancer before completing his Dermatology specialty at New York University, where he was awarded a Sulzberger research fellowship.
