Andrew D. Moody

Drew handled more than 15 jury trials as a prosecutor for the Florida State Attorney's office before turning to private practice. In 2022, just a couple of years after joining his father's firm, Drew was elected to the Florida Bar's Board of Governor Young Lawyers Division. In his personal injury career, he has obtained tens of millions for his clients. Drew also speaks German, having achieved the level of B1 proficiency in German while studying abroad at Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt Am Main, Germany. Like his father, Andrew Moody is passionate about fighting for those who have been wrongfully injured by the negligence of others. Andrew Moody has taken many cases to trial and has secured over $50 million in jury verdicts for his clients. Born and raised in Polk County, Andrew "Drew" Dwight Moody is committed to helping clients who have been injured due to another person's negligence or recklessness. Drew received his Juris Doctorate Degree from Levin College of Law at the University of Florida. During his final year of law school, he secured an externship with the State Attorney's Office for Florida's Eighth Judicial Circuit. After admission into the Florida Bar, Drew worked as a prosecutor for the State Attorney's Office in Florida's Sixth Judicial Circuit. Drew joined the team at Moody Law in the fall of 2020. Attorney Drew Moody began his legal career as a prosecutor at the State Attorney's Office for Florida's 6th Judicial Circuit. During his time as a prosecutor, Mr. Moody conducted over 15 jury trials on behalf of the people of the State of Florida. Since joining Moody Law in 2020, Mr. Moody has tried multiple civil jury trials and has obtained over $50 million dollars in jury verdicts. Drew Moody currently resides in the Seminole Heights neighborhood in Tampa, Florida. Drew lives with his wife Caroline, who is an attorney with Moody Law. He is a sixth-generation Floridian, making the State of Florida a place that Mr. Moody is proud to call home. Ashley Barrett Florida

Ashley has been a resident of Polk County for over 20 years. Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Ashley relocated to Lakeland in 2002, to attend Southeastern University. Prior to transferring to Southeastern University, she attended Bishop State Community College, in Mobile, on a softball scholarship. In 2004, she graduated from Southeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Management. Prior to starting her legal career, Ashley had a 15-year career in fundraising, working for Southeastern University and several other non-profit organizations. Her years in fundraising provided her the opportunity be involved with numerous organizations, schools, and churches both locally and nationally. Ashley brings over five years of personal injury experience to Moody Law. She is experienced in both pre-litigation and litigation from case intake through trial preparation. The personal injury case process can be overwhelming, and Ashley makes it her mission to ensure our clients are comfortable and understand every step of the process. On a sunny weekend, you can find Ashley at the beach or on the Chain of Lakes. She enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, and is always up for a great brunch.

Caroline G. Moody

Caroline, like Drew, received her bachelor's from The University of Florida in Gainesville. She then attended law school at Stetson University where she won the Victor O. Wehle Award for Outstanding Trial Practice. She began her career in medical malpractice defense. This background gives her invaluable insight into the strategies defense attorneys employ. Caroline serves as the Development Director for the Polk County Association for Women Lawyers and is a member of many other prominent legal organizations. Caroline is proud to join her husband, Drew, at our family firm. Before joining the team, she provided defense for parties accused of medical malpractice. This provides her with unique insight, among other distinguishing traits. Caroline spent the first several years of her life in the suburbs of Chicago until her family moved to the Greater Orlando area. Caroline's education and experience brought her to Tampa, Florida. Caroline is honored to have the opportunity to give back to her community and widespread network through her dedicated legal services and helping those in need. Caroline serves as the Development Director for the Polk County Association for Women Lawyers (PAWL), as well as a member of the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers (HAWL). She is also a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar as well as a member of the Hillsborough Bar Association and the Lakeland Bar Association. Moody is a fifth-generation Polk County native who has practiced law here since 1985. His son Andrew, who serves as an attorney at the firm, is a sixth-generation Polk County native.

Karley Lopez

Karley Lopez joined Moody Law as a Legal Assistant where her primary focus is on pre-litigation personal injury matters, including new case processing, investigation, medical document procurement and other case management support. Born and raised in Polk County, after graduating from Polk State Lakeland Collegiate High School where she earned her Associate of Arts degree, Karley relocated to Gainesville, FL to begin her studies at the University of Florida. During her time at UF, Karley unlocked her passion for service to others as she worked with various philanthropic organizations through Greek Life and the university, serving disadvantaged populations such as the homeless, disabled children, and disabled veterans. After graduating in August of 2022 with her bachelor's degree, Karley traveled back to her hometown to begin her legal career with Moody Law. Since joining the firm, Karley has continued her passion for serving others and appreciates the opportunity of being able to provide support and advice to her clients during their time of need. During her free time, Karley enjoys weekends at the beach or the lake, traveling to new destinations, cheering on the Florida Gators, and spending quality time with her friends and family.

Mendy Gunter

Mendy Gunter serves as Office Administrator at Moody Law. Prior to employment at Moody Law, Mendy worked in the banking industry where she had 10 years of experience. Mendy is responsible for bookkeeping, management of personnel and office procedure, and management of a wide variety of day-to-day administrative tasks for the office. Mendy was born and raised in Ft. Meade, thus making her the fourth generation of her family from Polk County. She graduated from Ft. Meade High School and later attended Polk Community College where she obtained her AA Degree. Mendy has been involved in various groups throughout the years associated with both Lakeland Chamber of Commerce and Bartow Chamber of Commerce. She enjoys gardening, boating, and most of all spending time with her husband and their two children.
