Ashley Hahn

Ashley joined the Monroe Animal Hospital staff in March of 2021. She earned her Associates degree in Veterinary Technology at SUNY Ulster Community College in the fall of 2020. She has high aspirations to one day continuing her education and going after her Bachelors in Zoology. Prior to joining our team, Ashley has 6 years of animal and customer experience from working at PetSmart Ashley grew up and lives in Hopewell Junction, across the Hudson River in Dutchess county, living with a zoo of a household; including, reptiles, guinea pigs, fish and a beagle named Sugar. In her free time, Ashley enjoys reading manga, drawing and painting, playing video games, collecting trading cards or relaxing watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

Cassidy Iasello

Job Titles:
  • Receptionist
Cassidy came to Monroe Animal Hospital in May of 2021. She was previously a dog walker in New York City and recently moved back up upstate. Cassidy is currently enrolled in school to become a veterinary technician. In her free time, she enjoys painting, photography, and playing with her cats.

Chris DiNapoli

Job Titles:
  • Veterinary Assistant / Kennel Attendant
Chris is one of Monroe's natives. He is known for his work with the local Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Adventure Crew, Church cemetery committee and as a Volunteer Monroe Ambulance Driver. Chris came to Monroe Animal Hospital after previously working as an Animal Control Officer. He also had prior grooming and kennel experience Chris started here at Monroe Animal Hospital as a kennel attendant and is now a veterinary assistant. Chris has plans to continue in this career field and become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. He enjoys hiking and camping.

Dr. Kate Greenberg

As of March 2018, Dr. Greenberg became the proud owner and medical director of Monroe Animal hospital. She earned a doctorate in veterinary medicine in May 2009 from the University of Missouri Columbia CVM. She did a pre-clinical veterinary curriculum of BVMS (DVM equivalent) at Glasgow University College of Veterinary Medicine from 2004-2006. Dr. Greenberg also earned a B.S. in Zoology, concentration in Neurobiology/Animal Behavior from Michigan State University, 2004. She is the 2009 recipient of the Anne Miller-Roth and Jerome E. Roth Equine Proficiency Award, for proficiency, interest, significant contributions, and superior performance in Equine Medicine and Surgery. She is a previous member of the Michigan State University Polo Team and loves to care for and ride her horses in her free time. Dr. Greenberg looks forward to serving the community as she continually keeps up on the newest technologies for small animal, exotic and large animal medicine. She has a special interest in theriogenology and reproductive medicine as well as diagnostic Ultrasound. Among Dr. Greenberg's greatest attributes is her capacity for caring and her ability to communicate with our furry friends and their people. Johanna Fine

Job Titles:

Johanna came to Monroe with 16 years of experience working with a wide variety of animals and 9 years in customer service. Johanna has worked with a variety of domestic and exotic species including horses, African penguins, reptiles, and amphibians. Johanna grew up in Suffern, New York, and currently lives in Walden with her boyfriend Jason. She is passionate about wildlife and habitat conservation. In her free time, Johanna enjoys hiking, drawing, and photography.

Lauren Felix

Job Titles:
  • Certified Veterinary Practice Manager
Lauren came to Monroe Animal Hospital in September 2018. She has been a Veterinary Practice Manager since 2005. Lauren has a degree in Environmental Science/Wildlife management and has done research on spotted owls and several forest sensitive species, and also worked as a zookeeper. Lauren found her true niche when she entered the veterinary profession as it combines her leadership skills and a true passion for animals. Lauren lives locally with her dog Phoebe and her two cats Norman and Ophelia. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys hiking, outdoor activities, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Melanie Rolon

Job Titles:
  • Veterinary Assistant / Technician Student
Melanie has been caring and working with animals for 7 years. She started her career volunteering at local veterinary clinics while she attended Animal Behavior College where she received her certification as a Veterinary Assistant. Melanie later began to work in Emergency, Cardiology and General Practice. She is currently attending Mercy College and studying to become a Veterinary Technologist. When she's not loving on our patients, she is home enjoying her time with her two daughters, dog named Jessie, and husband. She also enjoys painting and traveling with her family.

Sarah Messenger

Job Titles:
  • Receptionist
Sarah came to Monroe Animal Hospital in January 2020. Sarah has prior experience as a veterinary receptionist and assistant. She grew up in Hebron, Connecticut where her love for animals began where she worked for a dairy farm in middle school. Since then, she knew she wanted to work with animals. Sarah will graduate in May 2020 from the University of Maine with a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and a minor in Natural Sciences. She currently lives in Goshen with her boyfriend, Dan and two dogs, Rocky and Scout. In her free time, she loves to go 4-wheeling, hiking, and spend time with friends and family.
