Tomislav Milos

Job Titles:
  • Associate
Tomislav is a first-year associate at MMW having been called to the bar in 2023. He is developing a civil litigation practice in insurance defence. Prior to joining MMW, Tomislav worked as a legal summer student at Wealthsimple and articled at a boutique commercial litigation firm. Tomislav spent his undergraduate degree at McMaster University nursing his affection for all things literature, cultural theory, history, and art history, while working as an editor at the student newspaper, The Silhouette. Having pored over Prufrock and enjoyed a stint in hospitality before watching The Paper Chase, Tomislav attended Osgoode Hall Law School where he threw himself headfirst into the student community. Ever passionate about journalism, Tomislav took on an editorial role with Osgoode's student newspaper, Obiter Dicta, ultimately serving as Editor-in-Chief. He also served as an editor on the Osgoode Hall Law Journal, where he was involved in the publication of a special issue. His final year with the Journal saw him organize and host the annual Research Symposium. These editorial roles bookended a brief foray into student politics, occupying one of five 2L Student Caucus representative seats on Faculty Council and advocating on a slew of associated committees. Having shelved serious running for far too long, Tomislav is aiming to qualify for the Boston Marathon with a sub 3-hour effort. Other hobbies include working on his one-handed backhand, cooking his way through the NYT app, frequenting TIFF Lightbox, doing yoga with his girlfriend, and rapturously supporting the only team in London with a European cup, Chelsea FC.
