Dr. Ankitkumar Patel

Dr. Ankitkumar Patel is an interventional cardiologist and the director of the Cardiac catheterization laboratory at Hackensack Meridian Health- Mountainside Medical Center. Dr. Patel graduated from New York University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey (Rutgers Medical School). In addition to medical school, he also received a Master's degree in Public Health, focusing on Biostatistics and Epidemiology. He completed his cardiology postgraduate training at Cooper University Hospital, Camden NJ. Since joining in 2014, Dr Patel has been an indispensable member of the Montclair Cardiology team, well-liked and respected by his patients and colleagues. Dr Patel also serves as an Associate Director of the Hackensack Meridian Structural Heart Disease program. When not taking care of his patients, Dr. Patel, who grew up in Edison NJ, enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He likes to travel and read history books. Dr Patel is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. He holds an academic appointment at Rutgers Medical School.

Dr. David Armstrong

Dr. David Armstrong is a non-invasive cardiologist and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. David received his undergraduate degree at Cornell University, and also participated in cardiovascular outcomes research at the University of Michigan. He has been a first author, and co-author of several journal articles, and abstracts within the field of cardiology. Additionally, he has presented this research at national conferences on multiple occasions. He went on to graduate with honors from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he learned a traditional medical school curriculum, as well as a full breadth of complementary, and alternative techniques. His internal medicine residency was completed at the Christiana Care Health System in Delaware, followed by cardiology fellowship training at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, where he served as a chief fellow. Prior to joining Montclair Cardiology Group, Dr. Armstrong worked at Lenox Hill Hospital, and held an Assistant Professor of Cardiology appointment at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He worked extensively in the echocardiography laboratory, and served as a cardiology consultant for the Lenox Health Greenwich Village facility (New York City's first freestanding emergency department). He has a strong interest, and expertise in utilizing echocardiography to facilitate accurate, expedient cardiac diagnosis, and care. His patients appreciate the time he takes to listen to important details about their health history. He also believes preventing disease is just as important as treating it. In his free time, he loves to spend time with his wife, daughter, and son - cooking, traveling, staying physically active, and listening to music. Dr. Armstrong is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography Nuclear Cardiology, and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI).

Dr. Dusan Knezevic

Dr. Dusan Knezevic is a cardiologist and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He completed his medicine and cardiology training at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York. Prior to joining Montclair Cardiology Group, he served as associate director of Echocardiography at UMDNJ in Newark (Rutgers Medical School). Dr. Knezevic joined Montclair Cardiology in 2004 and gained the reputation as one of the most respected cardiologists in the community. Since 2016 Dr Knezevic has been recognized by Castle Connoly as a Top Doctor in the New York Metropolitan area and by New Jersey Monthly as a top doctor in New Jersey. He is an expert in diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Knezevic serves as a Chief of Hackensack Meridian Health- Mountainside Heart and Vascular hospital. His patients love his warmth, compassion and his ability to explain complex heart disease in simple and understandable terms. A father of three daughters aged fourteen to 22, Dr. Knezevic places a strong emphasis on healthy living and helping patients make the best choices and improve their health. Dr. Knezevic is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Knezevic holds an academic appointment at Rutgers Medical School and Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.

Jennifer Abitabilo
