Casey Fleckenstein

Casey Fleckenstein has served in many positions at Monroe County Hospital prior to her current role as Director of Patient Care Services. She started her career at Monroe County Hospital in 2001 as a staff nurse on both Medical Surgical Unit and Emergency Department as well as a Post Anesthesia Care Unit nurse. Casey has also served as Medical Surgical Manager, Emergency Room Manager, Case Management/Swing Bed Coordinator and Emergency Management Coordinator. This vast experience has given her much insight to the many departments within the hospital where patient care is so important. Casey's nursing career has been dedicated to creating high quality, reliable systems of care and developing the health care professionals to lead in these ever-changing times. She is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and has used those strategies to help lead the organization to increase service excellence, patient throughput, patient safety, and successful accreditation surveys. Casey received her Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing Degree from Western Governor's University, and she is also and alumni of Gordon State College where she got her Associates of Nursing. Casey is a 2019 Leadership Monroe graduate and very involved in the community. Casey and her three children live in the county where they love to work and play…Monroe County.

Judy Ware - CFO

Judy Ware joined Atrium Health Navicent in 2001 and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Rural Health. Judy has over 25 years of healthcare experience. She has had various healthcare leadership roles within Atrium Health Navicent including Internal Audit and Corporate Compliance. Judy has been working with rural hospitals within the system, both owned and managed, to analyze costs and increase revenue. Most recently, Judy worked with the rural health team to onboard Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin into the system. She lead the financial operations and the transition to Atrium Health Navicent. Prior to joining Navicent, Judy worked in public accounting with Draffin and Tucker, CPA's auditing hospitals and nursing homes. Judy received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Georgia Southern University and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a certified Green Belt and a member of the 2014 Atrium Health Navicent Leadership Academy cohort. In addition, Judy is a graduate of Leadership GHA. She is involved in various activities and organizations in her church and community. She recently served as President of the National Charity League. She and her husband Kevin have three children.

Kerry Trapnell - CEO

Kerry Trapnell serves as the Interim Chief Executive Officer of Monroe County Hospital. Kerry is the Chief Administrative Officer for Aletheia Health Partners, Inc., offering strategic advisory services, interim leadership, and hospital management to rural hospitals. Aletheia Health Partners manages the daily operations of Monroe County Hospital. Kerry has over 25 years of rural healthcare experience in various leadership roles such as CFO, CEO and Consultant. These roles have occurred in Critical Access, Acute Care, and Post-Acute Care hospitals. His focus has centered around financial turnarounds through service growth and revenue generation, to keep much needed healthcare in rural communities. Kerry recently led the charge for the first successful critical access hospital conversion in Georgia in nearly 20 years. His past work has brought recognition including CEO of the Year and Hospital of the Year, as well as Georgia's Community Star from the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health. His hospitals have also won several awards for patient quality including Top 10% in the nation for Patient Outcomes on numerous occasions. He has also served on many community and non-profit boards throughout his career.
