Amandeep brings 7+ years of experience in preclinical and early-phase drug discovery in infectious diseases and cancer research. He is skilled in data mining and has carried out several market intelligence projects in his previous positions at Siemens healthcare and as a freelancer. Prior to joining MP Advisors, Amandeep worked as an Associate Scientist at Inixium, Canada. He is passionate about the market trends of emerging scientific fields in biopharma as well as med-tech space. Amandeep obtained his PhD in Biophysics from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
Astha is a bioengineer and brings over 5 years of industry experience in diagnostics and genomics space. Prior to joining MP Advisors, Astha was a Microfluidics Engineer at 10x Genomics in California, USA and a Bioengineer at Prenosis in Illinois, USA. Astha completed her Master's in bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign specializing in microfluidics and assay development, and B.E. in Biomedical Engineering from L.D.College of Engineering, Ahmedabad.
Ayantika is an Analyst with MP Advisors. She is a Biotechnologist with over 5 years of experience in the discovery-genomics space. She has research experience in therapeutic areas such as Immunology, Immuno-Oncology, Fibrosis and Cardiovascular sciences. She has also worked in the context of technology and assay validation studies. Ayantika has prior experience with BBRC-Syngene and HUL R&D in Bangalore. She has completed her Masters in Biotechnology from VIT, Vellore and Bachelors in Biotechnology from Dr. D.Y.Patil University, Pune.

Babitha is a Life Science Analyst with the MP Advisors team. She is a Molecular Biologist over 6 years of experience in clinical/pre-clinical research with a focus on establishing new biomarkers for oncology therapeutics. Babitha is skilled in project management and has in depth expertise in assay development and validation. She is a PhD from Helmholtz international graduate school for cancer research (DKFZ), University of Heidelberg, Germany and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) - Molecular Biotechnology, Centrum for Molecular Biotechnology (CEMBIO), University of Bonn, Germany. Prior to joining MP Advisors, Babitha was Scientific Lead on Clinical Studies with ETHICMINDS, India and Biosampling Manager at BioNTech AG, Germany. She was also Scientific Content Specialist at Eidogen-Sertanity Inc., the Indian subsidiary of San-diego.
Devansh contributes to MP Advisors as a technology specialist. Information Technology and automation will be the key to the future of biopharma and healthcare space. Devansh assesses the IT innovation in pharma and healthcare space while also developing models for what would be critical success factors. He holds an MS and B.Tech (Honors) in Computer Science from IIIT Hyderabad. Devansh specialises in disruptive technologies such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Prior to joining MP Advisors, Devansh has worked as Software Engineer at Indeed,com and an Open Source contributor at MIT Media Lab. He has been a part of many prestigious projects such as Open Source developer on the NASA WorldWind project, Portland State University and Hadoop operations and Machine Learning at Indeed. Devansh is the Winner of Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Challenge, 2015 and was one of the few meritorious students selected for the Undergraduate program in Advances in Computer Science at the Indian Institute of Science.
Jagdish is a Consultant at MP Advisors, involved in crucial functions of the company such as, Market Research, Business Development, Business Analysis and Information Technology for more than 12 years. He holds a Master of Business Administration (Marketing & e-Business) from Sikkim Manipal University. Jagdish joined MP Advisors in 2005 and has been a part of several big-ticket cross-border M&A deals, brand divestment and due diligence projects since then. He has played a crucial role in initiating the collaboration with more than 40 national and international re-sellers for research reports. Jagdish has expertise in scientific research as well as fundamental market research. He also has proficiency in mining, compiling and analysing financial data while working on databases like as Bloomberg, Big dough, Thomson Analytics, IMS and Medtrack. Neel Fofaria, Partner at MP Advisors, is a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and a Bachelors of Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Mumbai. He was a Post-Doctoral scientist at Astra Zeneca, Waltham, MA and has led numerous strategic and investment advisory projects in BioPharma space at MP Advisors. His responsibilities include generating an idea, identifying growth opportunities and pitching it to the leading pharma and biotech companies worldwide for prospective mergers and alliance. He has extensive scientific and industry knowledge and over 12 years of experience in the BioPharma industry and medical device space. Neel has in-depth knowledge of the Indian as well as global pharma markets in terms of their economic landscape, technological developments, industry-specific parameters and the regulatory specifications.
In the past, he has been involved in formulating global expansion strategy for an Indian Contract Research Organisation as well as led a multidisciplinary team involved in the preclinical development of an oncology molecule. He has authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals and has 3 patents to his credit. Neel has also received several prestigious awards at various conferences such American Association for Cancer Research and American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists. Before being a part of MP Advisor, he has worked in renowned companies like L.E.K. Consulting as a Management Consultant, Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals (USA) as a Scientist, Neofluids, LLC (USA) as a Scientific Consultant and Artham Investments as Pharma Investment Consultant.
Reid is the Co-lead of the Strategic Advisory business at Mehta Partners since 2010. Since then, he has been involved with numerous cross-border transactions especially across India, Japan, and Europe. Some of his noteworthy achievements include conceptualizing and executing the first overseas expansion for a pharmaceutical services business by helping them identify and acquire a US biotech business. He also played a significant role in a crucial big-ticket deal between an Indian biotech firm and a global Japanese pharmaceutical giant. Reid has completed Bachelors of Arts, Economics from Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA.
He has over 12 years' experience of working in projects demanding domain expertise in finance and biopharmaceuticals. Reid has authored bespoke investment reports on biotech industry for institutional money managers. He was also the Editor of Mehta Partners' flagship annual report on the pharmaceutical sector. Prior to joining Mehta Partners, Reid was working as a Manager, Usability Gratuity Group, in Microsoft Corporation. He was also the Senior Dredge Operator, Waste Water Remediation at Coeur d'Alene Dredging.
Ripple holds a Master of Business Administration degree along with a Bachelor in Pharmacy from L.M. College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad. At MP Advisors, she is the Senior Pharma Consultant leading strategic projects in Indian and Japan. She brings to table 15 years of experience in providing customized business development strategies for pharma giants in overseas markets. Her extensive experience includes working in the sales, marketing, product management, strategy planning as well as the regulatory space. Ripple has an in-depth understanding of the needs of the pharma market and the product value chain. She has played a pivotal role in the various cross-border transactions undertaken by MP Advisors (Mehta Partners). Ripple has also authored more than 10 therapy class reports used by global R&D Houses. Before joining MP Advisors, she has worked with leading pharmaceutical companies like Dr. Reddy's, Astra Zeneca and Claris Life sciences.

Viren Mehta, PharmD, MBA, Managing Member, founded and is managing member of Mehta Partners, LLC. His analytical insights on global health care have influenced bio-pharmaceutical strategy and investments worldwide. Educated at the University of Southern California (Doctor of Pharmacy) and UCLA (MBA in international finance and marketing), he has worked with senior BioPharma leaders and investment managers for over 30 years. Viren's biopharma strategic advisory work focuses on refining the business model to expand global healthcare access, and to help the bio-pharmaceutical industry succeed globally. Viren's philanthropic work in ecology and education through viram foundation includes an active board role with Project Hope (Washington DC) and the Venice Family Clinic (Los Angeles, CA).
Viren began with Merck & Co. in international strategic planning and competitor analysis. This foundation prompted Wood Mackenzie & Company Inc. to invite him to establish a pharmaceutical research function in New York. This effort was expanded at S.G. Warburg & Company, and led to the formation of the Bio-pharma investment advisory group Mehta and Isaly. Now known as Mehta Partners, with a 30-year record, Viren continues to focus on helping refine investment strategy to achieve superior growth while enhancing access to healthcare innovations.
Viren Mehta, founder and managing partner of Mehta Partners, formulated this objective and emphasized that the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical segments are ultimately indistinguishable parts of the BioPharma industry; and that BioPharma is a truly global industry that is best understood when viewed from a worldwide perspective.
