Jimmy Brissie - Founder

As the founder and co-owner of Mountain Tek, Jimmy has been involved with the fire & rescue service since 1990 when he joined Henderson County Rescue Squad as a Junior Member. He is a NC certified EMT as well as a NC Level II Instructor in the following areas: Technical Rescuer - General, Ropes, Surface Water Rescue and Vehicle & Machinery Rescue. He is also certified as a Trench Rescue Technician, Structural Collapse Technician, Tower Rescue Technician, and is an Eagle Scout. He is an Instructor for the NCEM Mountain Search & Rescue (MSAR) program. Jimmy continues to volunteer with Henderson County Rescue Squad, where he has served in many positions. He most recently served as Chief from 2000 until 2017. During his college years he volunteered with the Watauga County Rescue Squad. Jimmy has a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and is certified as a NC Law Enforcement Officer. For many years he worked full time as a Lieutenant for a local law enforcement agency. Currently he is employed full time as the Emergency Services Director for Henderson County and works part time at Mountain Tek.

Rhonda Chislaghi

As a co-owner of Mountain Tek, Rhonda has been involved with the fire & rescue service since 1994. She got her start while at college in Boone, NC with Watauga County Rescue Squad. After receiving a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and moving to Hendersonville, NC she continued volunteering with Henderson County Rescue Squad. She has served in many positions with her local agency, and currently serves as the Public Information Officer. She serves on the Board of Directors as well as continuing to volunteer as a Technical Rescuer/EMT. She is a NC certified EMT, NC Level II Firefighter as well as a NC Level II Instructor in the following areas: Technical Rescuer - General, Ropes, Surface Water Rescue and Vehicle & Machinery Rescue. She is certified as a Structural Collapse Technician, Driver Operator Aerial & Pumps, Hazardous Materials Operations and Rapid Intervention Team. In 2018, she graduated from the National Fire Academy, Managing Officer Program. Rhonda has prior experience working as a Firefighter/EMT for 8 years. Before coming to work full time for Mountain Tek in 2001, she worked with a local manufacturing company in their Supply Chain.
