Mr. Olson is an Assistant Vice President at Management Planning, Inc. (MPI). He has over ten years of experience providing business valuation services for a variety of purposes including gift and estate, marital dissolution, consulting, management planning, and tax planning purposes primarily for privately held business clients. Prior to joining MPI, Mr. Olson worked at Baker Tilly as a Manager in the Valuation and Litigation Services practice. Prior to working in business valuation, Mr. Olson worked in real estate. Most recently as an Asset Manager in the multi-family apartment and senior living real estate industry managing a $1 billion loan portfolio with 180+ properties in 20 states.

Cyndi Livermore is a Vice President at MPI. Cyndi specializes in complex estate and gift tax issues, shareholder dispute resolution, contractual damages, marital forensics and has been qualified as an expert witness in the State of Texas, New Hampshire, and Illinois, as well as, in federal arbitration and mediations.

Daniel H. Bugg - VP

Daniel Bugg is a Vice President at MPI and has over 13 years of extensive experience performing valuations of businesses, business interests, complex securities, and intangible assets. He has performed valuations for accounting purposes, tax purposes, management planning purposes, and litigation support for clients ranging in size from small family owned businesses to large public companies. Daniel has performed valuations across various industries including: real estate investment trusts, energy and renewables, software and technology, hospitality, restaurants and breweries, professional sports, media and publishing, clothing and retail, and many others. Prior to joining MPI, Daniel worked over 10 years at Appraisal Economics, where he performed valuations of businesses and business interests, complex securities and employee compensation plans, intangible assets, and valuations for tax litigation. Prior to that, he worked at Citrin Cooperman, where he performed valuations for accounting purposes and tax purposes, valuations and economic damages analyses for litigation support purposes, and reviewed valuations for audit support. Daniel previously worked at Financial Research Associates, where he performed valuations for matrimonial litigation and family law cases.

Daniel M. Kerrigan - President

Dan serves as President of MPI and is responsible for leading and managing all areas of MPI's services. He continues to be actively involved in client engagements and oversees MPI's litigation services, corporate advisory and M&A practice. Since 1999, Dan's work has been used by MPI clients to assess potential liquidity options, effect corporate restructuring, create new classes of equity, maintain compliance with Employee Stock Ownership Plans and other ERISA plans, and effect intra-family ownership transfers, among others. Dan has appeared as an expert witness in U.S. Tax Court and in other proceedings. He has extensive experience in a wide range of industries, including food and beverage, business services, financial institutions, consumer products, manufacturing, distribution and publishing. Dan is a member of the Board of Directors of Management Planning, Inc.

David M. Eckstein - Managing Director

David is a Managing Director at MPI and leads the Seattle office while splitting his time between that office and the San Francisco office. Over three decades he has valued companies across many industries, particularly food and beverage, and both traditional and alternative investment management. In addition to estate, gift, GST and income tax compliance valuations for some of the wealthiest families and largest privately held companies in the US, David has led valuation and transaction projects spanning a wide range of business and asset sizes and types for corporate and personal tax, transaction fairness and solvency, purchase/sale of a business, financial restructuring, bankruptcy, financial reporting, corporate planning, ESOP, litigation, and marital purposes. Furthermore, he has advised clients on valuation matters for litigation consulting and has provided expert testimony in the US Tax Court and other courts. Before joining MPI, David was a Managing Director and co-leader of the national private wealth tax valuation practice at Deloitte, and a co-founder and Managing Director of FMV Opinions, where he led the national business valuation practice. He is a former President of the Valuation Roundtable of San Francisco. David has published numerous articles, spoken on valuation topics to professional organizations and companies, lectured on valuation and business topics at Stanford, the University of California, and the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China, and co-edited a business textbook published in China.

Joe is a Managing Director and Partner at MPI and heads up the firm's financial reporting and corporate valuation group. Since joining MPI, Joe has performed hundreds of equity and intangible asset valuations for financial reporting, tax purposes, and other corporate purposes. The valuation work and analyses prepared and managed by Joe have been used for the following purposes: purchase price allocations, impairment testing, equity valuations in support of share-based compensation, complex capital structure valuations (i.e., OPM, PWERM, and others), royalty rate analyses, transfers of intangible assets, corporate spin-offs and restructurings, purchases and sales of minority equity interests, valuations of preferred stocks and debt securities, and valuations in support of estate and gift tax matters. Joe is a member of the Board of Directors of Management Planning, Inc. He has given a number of speeches on business valuation and has testified in U.S. Tax Court.

Justin has extensive valuation experience in many industries including broadcast and print media, sports franchises, travel and real estate operations/development. The valuation analyses and reports prepared by Justin have been used for presentations to management, directors and stockholders of client companies, as well as to attorneys, accountants and bank trust representatives. Additionally, Justin currently serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of Zeta Sigma of Sigma Nu Property Association, a non-profit real estate organization.
