Ann McFalls

Job Titles:
  • Veterinary and Surgical Assistant
Ann hails from Rome and is a graduate of Coosa High School, moving to the big city of Eton in 2005. She began working at MCVS in fall 2012 and has not been scared off yet. She currently assists in surgery and performs dental prophylaxis. Ann helps keep everyone (including the staff) in line. Don't mess with her :-)! Several cats, dogs, and horses take advantage of Ann's hospitality.

Bob Asztalos

Bob set up shop at Murray County Veterinary Services in January 2004. He is a groomer with 38 years experience, but is also an all-breed handler for show dogs, specializing in terriers and herding breeds. Bob is originally from Montreal, but lived 38 years in Michigan, 14 years in Florida, and 10 years in California as well. To the right, he is working on a miniature schnauzer, in progress. Below you can see some of the more dramatic 'before and after' patients.

Dr. Brannon Rickman

Dr. Rickman is an Alabama fan who graduated from veterinary school at Auburn in 2015, joining Murray County Veterinary Services after graduation. He hails from Huntsville, Alabama, completing his Bachelor's and Master's in biology at Auburn as well. Dr. Rickman enjoys bovine medicine and surgery, and herd health, but also works on horses and small animals. After 5 great years at Murray County Vet Svc, he and his wife moved to South Carolina to begin the next chapter in their lives. Dr. Rickman left a lasting impact on the clinic and our clients, and he will be missed! We wish him all the best!

Dr. David Loughridge

Dr. Loughridge retired from veterinary practice in 2020. As a Murray County native, his roots in the community stretch back to the 1830's. Dr. Loughridge completed his undergraduate education at the University of Georgia, and then graduated from the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine 1978. After graduation, he opened Murray County Veterinary Services, the first veterinary clinic in Chatsworth. Dr. Loughridge practiced mixed animal medicine and surgery, but his special interest was in herd health. He currently helps manage the family herd of a few hundred Angus cattle and several chicken houses. He also helps manage several granddaughters!

Dr. Paula Steele

Dr. Steele grew up in Newport News, VA and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA. She then came to the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1977. She has been at Murray County Veterinary Services since 1980, and is now semi-retired. Dr. Steele sees Small Animal and Exotics cases.

Dr. Rebecca Knowles

Dr. Knowles joined the practice in the summer of 2005, and is originally from Dalton, GA. She graduated from Northwest Whitfield High School before attending Berry College in Rome, Georgia for her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science. She went on to the University of Georgia to complete two Master's degrees (one in Anatomy and one in Behavior), and receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from UGA in 2005. Dr. Knowles bought into Murray County Veterinary Service as a co-owner in 2014. She sees predominantly small animal cases, but also cattle, small ruminants, and horses.

Kristi Hoffman

Kristi joined Murray County Vet in 1992 and is originally from Fairmount. As well as scheduling appointments, fielding phone calls, and working the front desk, she is in charge of the clinic accounts. She owns 4 chinese crested rescue dogs, three other rescue dogs, and several cats.

Misti Cloer

Job Titles:
  • Veterinary Assistant
Misti began at the clinic as a school-age volunteer in 1994 and has been with us ever since. She is from 'downtown' Crandall. Misti can be found in the front office, but also assists the veterinarians during exams. She is also known as 'the cat wrangler', but also spends time wrangling her young son, Hunter, in addition to various cats and dogs.
