Antonio Urbina III

is a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist who received his Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. During his clinical rotations, he became proficient in treating and managing ocular conditions such as dry eye, cataracts, diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. To supplement his strong background in primary eye care, he also received specialty training in the co-management of glaucoma laser surgery, cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and various anterior segment procedures. In addition, Dr. Urbina was selected as a teaching assistant for Neuro-anatomy and Optics. Here at San Antonio Eye Specialists Dr. Urbina specializes in treatment and management of anterior segment diseases such as dry eye syndrome, Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), keratoconus, corneal transplants, and post-refractive surgical ectasia. He is passionate about fitting specialty contact lenses for patients with corneal anomalies whose vision cannot be corrected with glasses or additional surgery. He is an expert in dry eye therapy and has performed numerous therapeutic procedures to improve the symptoms of dry eye syndrome. Geneva Means, OD is a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist receiving her Doctorate in Optometry from The University of Houston College of Optometry. During her clinical rotations, she learned proficiency in treating ocular disorders such as dry eye, uveitis, macular degeneration, glaucoma, hypertensive retinopathy, and diabetic retinopathy. She has received specialty training in managing pediatrics, cataract co-management, and low vision. Dr. Means received the honor of being selected as a teaching assistant for the low vision course and received the Eschenbach Low Vision Award in 2021. As the newest vision provider at San Antonio Eye Specialists, Dr. Means is eager to provide excellent primary eye care specific to her patients' lifestyles and visual needs. Her experience caring for binocular vision patients provides her with skills to diagnose and treat amblyopia, accommodative dysfunction, strabismus, and myopia. She is also passionate about assisting patients with visual impairments find the right tools and services necessary to improve their quality of life. Dr. Means is an active member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She spends her free time hiking with her husband and trying out new recipes.

is a refractive surgery specialist with refractive surgery experience spanning more than 25 years, and over 20 years with refractive surgery fellowship-training, resulting in tens of thousands of excellent surgical outcomes. This experience and his well-earned expertise make him one of the most established and trusted fellowship-trained refractive surgeons in Texas. He trained at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and the Prestigious Kresge Eye Institute in Michigan. He further underwent a sub-specialty fellowship training in refractive surgery, the science and art of surgical vision correction, with an international pioneer in refractive surgery, Dr. Howard Gimbel, the 2019 inductee into the ASCRS Ophthalmology Hall of Fame. Ophthalmologist Dr. Nader Iskander is one of the most experienced surgeons in laser cataract surgery in Texas. As both an accomplished refractive and cataract surgeon, he was a pioneer in combining his refractive experience with cataract surgery to achieve spectacle independence for his patients.
