Brian Larson joined the company in April 2019 when he was appointed as the company's first Director of Oil and Gas Development. Since joining, Brian has built a team which has deployed more than $20 million, acquiring mineral and royalty interests across multiple top-tier basins.
A native of Naperville, Illinois, Brian came to North American from Pioneer Natural Resources, an onshore U.S.-based independent oil and gas exploration and production company, where he held a variety of engineering and leadership positions in the corporate office and in the field.
Brian has experience in strategic planning, field development, reservoir engineering, facilities and production operations. Most recently, he led overall logistics and integrated operations planning for a multi-year project to optimize development in the Permian Basin.
Brian was commissioned as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army and the Texas National Guard. He served at Fort Benning, GA, Fort Hood, TX, Fort Myer, VA, and Arlington National Cemetery, and deployed to Baghdad as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His roles included Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, Assistant Operations Officer, and Presidential Salute Battery Commander, where he led an elite team of 50 soldiers in "The Old Guard," performing ceremonial and tactical operations in the Washington, D.C. area. Brian's awards and certifications include the Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge and Ranger Tab.
Brian is a 2005 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations. He holds a Master of Engineering degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from Baylor University.

Carroll Dewing has previously served as Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Northern Operations, Government and Human Relations. He also served as President of The Coteau Properties Company from 2011 through 2016 and President of The Falkirk Mining Company from 2010 through 2011.
Carroll began his career with The Falkirk Mine in 1979, working for five years in the Engineering and Environmental Departments, followed by seven years as a frontline supervisor in the Production and Maintenance Departments. He became Dragline Maintenance Manager in 1992 and Maintenance Manager in 1995. In 2002, he transferred to The Sabine Mining Company as Operations Manager, transferring back to Falkirk in 2006 as Engineering and Administration Manager.
Carroll received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State University and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University. He is a registered professional engineer in North Dakota.

Biography
Ms. Loveman joined NACCO Industries, Inc. in December 2012 as the Director of Financial Reporting and became Vice President and Controller in March 2014. In June 2023, Ms. Loveman was named Senior Vice President and Controller. She is responsible for financial reporting, internal control, and taxes for the company. Ms. Loveman was previously at NACCO from 1999 to 2005 as a senior financial reporting analyst. Prior to rejoining NACCO in 2012, Ms. Loveman worked at OM Group, Inc. as Manager of Financial Reporting from 2005 to 2012. Ms. Loveman also worked at Deloitte and Touche LLP as an auditor from 1995 to 1999.
Ms. Loveman received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Cleveland State University in 1995 and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Ohio.

Since 2017, Eric Anderson has been President of Mitigation Resources of North America, which provides cost-effective environmental offset solutions in a sustainable manner.
Eric joined the company in 2004 as an Environmental Specialist at The Sabine Mine. In 2012, he was named Environmental Manager at Sabine, combining his soil science and environmental expertise with a strong business acumen. He has more than 20 years of management and technical experience in Waters of The U.S. identification, functional assessment, permitting, and restoration services. Over the past 15 years, he has worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers across the south to ensure environmental management and compliance. He is currently leading a team to develop mitigation and conservation banks across the United States.
Eric received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and a Master of Science degree in Forestry from Stephen F. Austin State University. He earned a Ph.D in Soil Science from North Carolina State University. He has a GIScience Certification from North Carolina State University and is certified in Soil Science by the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists.

Mr. Butler is President and Chief Executive Officer of NACCO Industries, Inc. (NYSE:NC) and its wholly owned subsidiary The North American Coal Corporation. Mr. Butler has held his current NACCO position since October 2017 and his North American Coal position since July 2015.
Prior to joining NACCO, Mr. Butler was an investment banker with McFarland Dewey & Co., a boutique investment banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions, from 1990 to 1995, and with Drexel Burnham Lambert from 1989 to 1990. Prior to his career in investment banking, Mr. Butler was an investment analyst in the Prudential Agricultural Realty Group, with shared responsibility for oversight of Prudential Insurance Company's investment in U.S. agricultural properties.

John Neumann joined the company in 2009, becoming its Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in 2011. In 2012, he was named Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of NACCO Industries. John serves as the company's chief legal officer and has oversight responsibility for our Mitigation Resources of North America and Catapult Mineral Partners businesses. John uses his M&A background and legal training to support the team's effort to grow all aspects of the business.
Prior to joining the company, John was a mergers and acquisitions attorney with Jones Day in Cleveland, Ohio and Hunton & Williams in Richmond, Virginia.
John received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Grove City College in Pennsylvania and his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review. He has been admitted to practice law in Texas, Ohio and Virginia.

Mr. Neumann joined NACCO subsidiary North American Coal in March 2009 as Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary, and became Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of North American Coal in January 2011. In September 2012, Mr. Neumann was named Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of NACCO, with oversight responsibility for legal services provided to NACCO and its subsidiary companies. In June 2023, Mr. Neumann was named Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Prior to joining North American Coal, Mr. Neumann was a mergers and acquisitions attorney with the law firm of Jones Day in Cleveland, Ohio.
Mr. Neumann is a graduate of Grove City College in Pennsylvania and the Florida State University College of Law, where he was a member of The Florida State University Law Review. He is admitted to practice law in Ohio, Texas and Virginia.

Biography
Ms. Fry is Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of NACCO Industries, Inc. and its subsidiary, The North American Coal Corporation. She joined NACCO and North American Coal in May 2017. She oversees the compliance of the company's executive compensation arrangements and employee benefits plans. Prior to joining North American Coal, Ms. Fry was in private practice and advised various companies on employee benefits plans and executive compensation matters.
Ms. Fry received a Bachelor of Science in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida, a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Florida, a Juris Doctor from American University, Washington College of Law, and a Master of Laws in Taxation, with a Certificate in Employee Benefits Law, from Georgetown University Law Center. Biography
Mr. Maxwell is Senior Vice President, Finance and Treasurer of NACCO Industries. As of July 2022, Mr. Maxwell also began serving as the Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at our Mitigation Resources of North America business. Mr. Maxwell oversees planning and forecasting, charitable contributions, compensation and treasury activities for NACCO Industries, and has oversight of various corporate and administrative activities of NACCO and its subsidiaries. Mr. Maxwell joined NACCO Industries in 2005 and served in various supervisory finance and treasury positions, becoming a Vice President and Treasurer at NACCO in September 2017. Prior to joining NACCO Industries, Mr. Maxwell supervised accounting and financial reporting matters at STERIS Corporation and worked at several other publicly traded companies in various finance and accounting roles.
