Brian Larson

Brian Larson joined the company in April 2019 when he was appointed as the company's first Director of Oil and Gas Development. Since joining, Brian has built a team which has deployed more than $20 million, acquiring mineral and royalty interests across multiple top-tier basins. A native of Naperville, Illinois, Brian came to North American from Pioneer Natural Resources, an onshore U.S.-based independent oil and gas exploration and production company, where he held a variety of engineering and leadership positions in the corporate office and in the field. Brian has experience in strategic planning, field development, reservoir engineering, facilities and production operations. Most recently, he led overall logistics and integrated operations planning for a multi-year project to optimize development in the Permian Basin. Brian was commissioned as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army and the Texas National Guard. He served at Fort Benning, GA, Fort Hood, TX, Fort Myer, VA, and Arlington National Cemetery, and deployed to Baghdad as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His roles included Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, Assistant Operations Officer, and Presidential Salute Battery Commander, where he led an elite team of 50 soldiers in "The Old Guard," performing ceremonial and tactical operations in the Washington, D.C. area. Brian's awards and certifications include the Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge and Ranger Tab. Brian is a 2005 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations. He holds a Master of Engineering degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from Baylor University.

Carroll Dewing - COO

Carroll Dewing has previously served as Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Northern Operations, Government and Human Relations. He also served as President of The Coteau Properties Company from 2011 through 2016 and President of The Falkirk Mining Company from 2010 through 2011. Carroll began his career with The Falkirk Mine in 1979, working for five years in the Engineering and Environmental Departments, followed by seven years as a frontline supervisor in the Production and Maintenance Departments. Biography Ms. Loveman joined NACCO Industries, Inc. in December 2012 as the Director of Financial Reporting and became Vice President and Controller in March 2014. In June 2023, Ms. Loveman was named Senior Vice President and Controller. She is responsible for financial reporting, internal control, and taxes for the company. Ms. Loveman was previously at NACCO from 1999 to 2005 as a senior financial reporting analyst. Prior to rejoining NACCO in 2012, Ms. Loveman worked at OM Group, Inc. as Manager of Financial Reporting from 2005 to 2012. Ms. Loveman also worked at Deloitte and Touche LLP as an auditor from 1995 to 1999. Since 2017, Eric Anderson has been President of Mitigation Resources of North America, which provides cost-effective environmental offset solutions in a sustainable manner. Eric joined the company in 2004 as an Environmental Specialist at The Sabine Mine. In 2012, he was named Environmental Manager at Sabine, combining his soil science and environmental expertise with a strong business acumen. He has more than 20 years of management and technical experience in Waters of The U.S. identification, functional assessment, permitting, and restoration services. Biography Mr. Maxwell is Senior Vice President, Finance and Treasurer of NACCO Industries.
