Brad Beswick

Brad joined Nairn Electrical in 1997 and has over 25 years' experience in the electrical industry. As Operations Manager, Brad controls day to day workloads and distribution of the team of industrial electricians. He is qualified as a registered electrician and holds a current practicing license. Brad bought into Nairn Electrical and became a Director in 2012. During his tenure in the industry he has designed, wired and installed numerous systems for irrigation, dairy and municipal installations. These works involved various types of soft starters and variable speed drives, with extensive use of Danfoss starters. He has experience in PLC wiring and programming, including Eaton smart relays and Horner controllers. Brad specialises in the design of dairy effluent automation for new and existing pumping systems in order to meet legislative requirements for management and discharge of effluent.

Gary Roxburgh - Managing Director

Gary joined Nairn Electrical in 1980, before taking over the company in 1994. Gary has over 40 years' experience in the electrical industry and is currently the National President of Master Electricians New Zealand. Gary has extensive experience in industrial controls, with particular specialisation in pumping controls, irrigation, municipal water and sewage. This includes the design of electrical pumping controls including soft starters, variable speed starters, level, pressure and flow controls, along with CAD design of switchboards and starters. For more than 36 years Gary has established and maintained a successful relationship with the Selwyn District Council, providing design, installation and maintenance services for water and sewer pumping station electrics, as well as servicing the rapidly growing dairy industry. Gary's extensive experience in the Canterbury region is well known in the pumping industry, and he is often approached for advice by industry professionals and individuals alike.

Simon Francis

Simon joined Nairn Electrical in 2008 and has over 16 years' experience in the electrical industry, specialising in industrial pump controls. Simon has managed and led the growth of the North Canterbury branch for the last decade and in 2015 became a shareholder and director. In his role as North Canterbury Manager he is responsible for staff, customer relations, design, quoting, invoicing and project management.

Steve West

Steve first joined Nairn Electrical in 1993 and has 28 years' experience in the electrical contracting industry, with at least 20 years specialising in municipal and industrial pumping controls, and business management. Qualified as a registered electrician and holding a current practicing license, Steve has specialist skills in the management of projects and people. Steve left Nairn Electrical in 1999 to work overseas and was involved in the installation and maintenance of IT networks and infrastructure in London, New York and Frankfurt. Steve returned to Nairn Electrical in 2003 to take on the role of General Manager, guiding the business through many high-growth years. Steve bought into Nairn Electrical and became a Director in 2012. Steve's experience in industrial, commercial and municipal electrical projects is extensive including installation and implementation of numerous projects within the irrigation and dairying industry, as well as water supplies and sewerage systems for the Selwyn District Council.
