Caroline Adupa

Caroline is an experienced consultant, having joined Nexus in 2014. Before that, she worked for almost ten years in various WA public sector agencies including the Department of Justice, Office of the Auditor General, the Ombudsman WA, the Commissioner for Children and Young People, the Department of Child Protection, and the Department of Education. In her last public sector role Caroline was a Senior Project Officer at the Department of Justice where she worked on the development of the Aboriginal Family Safety Strategy. In her consulting role Caroline has assisted, guided and supported a wide range of public sector agencies on recruitment processes and also worked with other Nexus members on government compliance and evaluation projects. She has a strong interest in, and is committed to, helping agencies and individuals achieve their goals in an effective and efficient manner.

Catherine Sambell

Catherine is a Director of The Nexus Network. She has over 22 years' experience in the WA State Government primarily working in five of WA's central oversight agencies as a senior manager and member of the executive leadership group. In her government roles Catherine worked on whole of public sector people and organisational development programs including leadership, corruption prevention and integrity building. She also has experience in organisational change. Catherine has consulted to many state government agencies and community organisations on a wide range of projects. She has considerable corporate and leadership expertise in organisational development and strategic people management.

Darja Kragt

Darja is an experienced leadership development and organisational change consultant. She joined Nexus Network in 2021. She has worked with government departments, resources sector companies, global consulting firms, and academic institutions to build and promote individual and organisational leadership capacity. Dr Darja is passionate about helping individuals and organisations to develop more effective and inclusive leadership. Her unique strengths as a leadership development professional are an excellent understanding of research evidence and the ability to translate these insights into specific and effective practices. She has designed and facilitated dozens of leadership development workshops and programs for professionals, MBAs and executives in Australia and Europe. In addition to leadership development, her core skills are research, evaluation, data collection and analysis.

Jan Saggers - Managing Director

Jan is Managing Director of The Nexus Network. She has been consulting since 1995, first as a sole operator and then as a foundation Director of Nexus. Jan has a background in research and public policy development, with an organisational development focus. She is particularly interested in building organisational capacity and in fostering strategic links between agencies' people management functions and the delivery of organisational goals. She has also worked extensively in the area of executive recruitment. Prior to becoming a consultant, Jan worked for seven government agencies and has maintained these public sector links in her consulting work.

Renu Burr

Renu's extensive expertise in executive coaching, leadership development, organisational change and cultural transformation has been built over 35 years of business, leadership and academic experience. Renu has worked in senior leadership, consultant and advisory roles to support organisations and executive teams improve effectiveness in the private, public, and the for-purpose sectors in Australia and overseas. In recent years, she has delivered numerous large-scale change and cultural transformation programs supported by associated leadership development interventions including executive coaching. She also provides advice on the design and implementation of people processes to embed cultural change in a wide variety of organisations.

Susan Barrera

Susan returned to The Nexus Network after an absence of ten years, during which time she worked in senior public sector management positions in industrial relations and community development. Her most recent position was Director General, Department for Communities. Susan's background includes organisational development, labour relations, policy development, program development and evaluation and training. During her career, spanning more than 30 years, Susan has worked in all tiers of government and has a strong interest in assisting agencies and individuals improve their performance through creative collaborations.
