Chief Executive Officer: Alvin Osmond Prior to joining NavSim in 2009 as Director of Business Development and Communications, Alvin directed a broad range of business development, strategic planning and communications activities for marine industry clients. Vice President of Marketing and Operations: James Locke Jim's marine experience spans over 27 years and encompasses research, design, construction and navigation work with numerous classes of commercial, naval and government vessels. Prior to his appointment with NavSim, Jim spent 10 years in marketing and sales management roles with major professional marine manufacturers. Founder: Dr. Piotr Waclawek NavSim Founder and Creator of BoatCruiser. A leader in the field of marine engineering, Dr. Waclawek was internationally recognized for his work on the numerical modelling of ship hydrodynamics, the application of wavelets analysis in digital signal processing, and the integration of neural network and fuzzy logic in ship control and parameter estimation. He held a PhD in Technical Science, specializing in Naval Hydromechanics and a Master of Science in Naval Architecture from the Wroclaw University of Technology. Dr. Waclawek served as NavSim's President and CEO from 2001 until his untimely passing in January 2010.
